“Loved it.”

Great Hotel - location was great, close to rail and walking distances to a lot of markets and shopping centres. Hotel was very quiet which is something I find hard to come by. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel from 12-15th November 08 and from the moment we got there we were not dissapointed. The checkin process was smooth and efficent, the room was above our expectations as it was large had plenty of room to move, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a massive walk in shower with a seat.

The view was not great it was of the front of the hotel but not a problem for us. We heard no noise at all.

The breakfast was brilliant something for everyone - noone can complain about it by any means, room service was very efficent and perfect for when you are tierd from walking around the city.

The pool was clean and well kept nice size to be able to do some exercise in. We did not use the gym but went and had a look and it looked very clean and modern.

I had a treatment at the mood treatment rooms and the service again impecable and a well priced.

We did not like Bangkok too much and so the hotel was a great Oasis to come back to when we had, had enough being out and about.

Nothing was too much for the staff to do including rushing our laundry through.

The hotel is in a great location close to everything, so we would fully reccommend this hotel to anyone who wants to brave Bangkok as it is easy to get to and about 5 mins walk from the main shopping strip.

I've stayed at several Marriott Courtyard hotels, and this is the nicest one yet. This hotel opened only a few months ago, so it has that nice new feel to it and everything is spotless. However, your cabbie may have trouble finding it - no problem, just tell him it's near the Four Seasons Hotel. Also, due to the recent unrest in Bangkok, don't be surprised if your taxi gets stopped before entering the property, to be searched. "They check for bomb!" our cabbie laughed as we waited. Hey, better safe than sorry!

Although my husband and I only stayed here for one night, the hotel allowed us to leave some of our extra baggage there for a week as we initially passed through Bangkok on our way to Koh Tao before returning to the Courtyard for our one night stay.

The staff were spectacular - you feel like royalty from the moment you walk in. Thais are very gracious and it makes you realize you really ARE in the land of smiles! When we had a problem - the shower wasn't draining - it was remedied promptly by their staff even though it was late in the evening.

The location was OK - it was at the end of a side street, a short walk to the Sky Train station (or you could use the complimentary shuttle) and about a 15 minute stroll to Lumphini Park which is a nice place to relax or feed the huge fish that live in the pond. The night market is also in that area. Everywhere else, you'll probably want to take a cab, which the doorman will take care of for you. Be warned that the hotel is about a 45-minute ride to/from the airport in good conditions, and it will cost you about 400-450 Baht including tolls.

Our room was very nice. After a week in Koh Tao, we were very grateful for the air conditioning and the strong water pressure in our hot shower. The only weird thing about the room was that there was a "window" between the bathroom and the bedroom, which looked directly in to the glass-walled shower from the bed. And, the blinds to obscure the view were located on the bedroom side of the window. So if you're sharing a room with somebody, make sure you don't mind if they play peek-a-boo with you while you're in the bathroom! My husband was also quick to point out that this "window" allows you to watch TV from the toilet...

The bed was extremely comfortable, with crisp linens and lots of pillow choices. You could also turn off most lights from the switches on either side of the bed, although it took us some trial and error to figure them all out! The HDTV was a nice touch and allowed us to get caught up on world news after a week of isolation. Many of the popular news and TV channels were available - BBC, CNN, HBO, etc. plus some local programming which is always fun to watch.

Hubby and I went to the in-house restaurant, MoMo, twice. They offered a variety of Thai and Western dishes - we highly recommend the MoMo burger as well as their fruit smoothies. Although significantly more expensive than the locally-run restaurants and "street meat" vendors, the prices were on par with Western establishments and the service was top-notch.

Free internet access is available in each room (if you have a laptop), or you can use the Business Center computers but their rates were outrageous - you will most certainly find better rates at an internet cafe in the city.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and if we ever pass through Bangkok again, we'd gladly return!

All been written before but needs to be said again

This is in on a small lane off the main Rajdamri Road. Since its new it may not be known to all Taxi drivers. For reference you can say this is near the Four Seasons hotel. It is the lane before it.

The hotel is new and it shows. The interior are very modern and you can see the cutting edge design that Thailand hotels are famous for.

The rooms are very cheerful once you enter and you get a nice bathroom too.

I have always found the service at Marriot hotels to be excellent but this is even better. The Staff to Guest ratio is the highest that I have ever seen. First time visitors from Europe will find it hard to believe.

The restaurant MoMo cafe has an adequate menu. The breakfasts are world class.

For shopping the Central World mall is a 5 minute walk away . Watch out for touts outside who try and send you to shops selling gems. These are tourist traps. Caution : They may try and tell you that the mall is not open and why dont you go to a shrine and this special shops. BTW all the lawyers, teachers and civil servants you encounter who persuade you to but gemstones are all touts.

For those with expenseive tastes the Erawan Mall will have lots to offer.

The hotel is well situated and your average taxi ride to the tourist spots would come to no more than 80 THB. The skytrain is also about 5 minutes away but the taxis are so cheap that it probably does not make sense.

Taxi to the airport 450-500 THB once your stay is complete. Takes 45 minutes typically.

Staying here for 4 nights before going to Phuket. - this is our 3rd day now. It's a really lovely hotel, in the middle of the action, but away from the madding crowd. Location is down a small, quiet street, so you don't hear any traffic noise whatsoever. Check in was smooth, professional and friendly, despite the late hour of the night. The immediate feel of the hotel is new and contemporary with Thai twist - without being over the top Thai. Beautiful flower decorations and colour schemes. We were whisked up to the 9th floor and shown to our room. Although on the smaller side, it's perfect for the stay, and we don't need anything else. Approx. 35 m2 with small bathroom. Flat screen tv, desk, chair, coffee/tea making facilities, Marriott bed, safe, part tiled, part carpet. No bath, just shower - shower being on the really small side for my hubby! - but ok for me! Internet is something like 500 baht per day (24 hours). The view isn't too exciting, but as we have stayed in BKK many times before, we don't need the river view hotels anymore. Most rates will incl bfast, otherwise the buffett - which is excellent - costs around 450 baht++ All the staff are very friendly. Happy hour 6 pm thru 8 pm. There is a good sized gym with all the machines and a nice outside swimming pool where you can order snacks and drinks.

The hotel has everything we need for a great break, and we will definitely return.

Tip....Walk outside the entrance of the hotel and turn right...We walked through a tiny little alley which has lots of little local Thai restaurants and a fab coffee shop - (45 baht for an ice latte) which is run by a lovely, older couple. I noticed the internet was 40 baht per hour at the coffee shop....Through the alley you come out on to Soil Lang Suan, which has more restaurants than you will ever need! If you walk to the left, you will come to Central Chidlom. Walk to the right look for the restaurant Home Kitchen - great local Thai. Cost us 800 baht for lots of food and drink!

We stayed here for two nights when we first arrived into Bangkok. Having read reviews on tripadvisor, i was aware that some taxi drivers were not familiar with the hotel as it is fairly new, so directed them towards one of the bigger hotels nearby and got there no problem. The rooms are big and nicely designed and the pool was great for escaping from the heat.
MBT shopping centre and the sky-train are only a 5 minute walk which is really convenient! We chose this hotel as it was also close to the Vietnamese Embassy, where we got our visas. We found the food a bit pricey for Thai standards, otherwise, everything else was great.
