The rooms are big and very clean and have free internet access. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The cafe/restaurant has a very nice breakfast. There is a pool, gym and spa but I did not use them. Very centrally located near the Ratchadamri MTS (skytrain) stop and close to everything.

This hotel deserve 5 stars ! Stayed there for a week in september and simply enjoyed everything.

From the moment you enter the lobby, you feel home away from home. The staff is always smiling, ready to help and make your stay a wonderful one.

The rooms are spacious and spotless. Beds are very comfy, like in all Marriotts....

Hotel situated in a quiet environment, five minutes walk to the Ratchadamri sky train (BTS).

You have to try the Momo café in the lobby - friendly staff, great service, good food (espacially the breakfast buffet) and honnest price. Everything was delicious.

This Courtyard is nothing to compare with the Courtyard in the US and Canada.... The global experience was way above expectations ! Courtyard Bangkok is a great place to stay for business or leisure... Give it a try; you won't be desapointed.

WOW! This is a Courtyard??? For readers who are from the US, please know: this is not a US Courtyard! In the US, you could easily hang a Hyatt or Marriott or Hilton sign outside. This was great!

In the US, Courtyard is a second tier brand. In other parts of the world, it ranks much better. I’ve been at Courtyards in Hong Kong, Amsterdam and here which beat full Marriotts back home. Not sure how this property escaped from a regular Marriott branding, except that it only has one restaurant. But, hey, it’s Bangkok… who eats at their hotel?

I was only here for two nights for a quick layover and couple of visits with folks. I’d not stayed here before, but the Ratchaprasong area is uberconvenient with both the Ratchadamri and Chitlom BTS stations in easy walking distance. It is tucked onto a quiet street, about 100m from the main road, and another 100 metres from the Ratchadamri BTS station. The hotel does have their own Tuk-tuk, but the walk’s not that bad.

The lobby is very new, and looks great. I loved the 4m of bookcases towering behind the Front Desk. Nice.

My room was large by Bangkok standards. Excellent king-size bed, reasonable desk, in room safe, etc. Water pressure was great; Courtyard branded toiletries. I did have to flip around a lot of flight switches to figure out what lit up what.

Here’s the WOW part: A Concierge Lounge!!! On the 15th floor they have a gorgeous, Hyatt/Renaissance quality Lounge. Light breakfast served starting at 6a, with a nice Jura coffee maker. Drinks (free, yes) from 5:30-7:30p and light hors dourves.

On my visit there was a bit of an issue on computers and printers. In the Exec Lounge on 15 they have two iMacs, but neither one can print. Then, on Lobby Level they have two PCs, both connected to a colour printer. Those worked fine, but they needed a pre-paid access card. Once I explained to the Front Desk, I was quickly given a free access card to the lobby computers to print, but this needs to be fixed.

I did not eat here (besides the noshings on 15), as it was such a turn&burn visit. The menu looked good, but was not begging me to visit. I saw a pizza being served, and it looked pretty heavily loaded. Given everything else in the hotel, I’ll assume the food was on par. Given the neighborhood proximity, for Italian, I’d still head over to Spasso at the Hyatt.

The hotel’s car service to and from the airport (Toyota Camry) was punctual and polite.

Yes… would happily return. They get 5 stars here for overachieving in the category of Select Service Hotels.

Courtside Marriot is based in the heart of the shopping area. Central Mall, Platinum (Clothes) & Pantip Plaza (Electronics) are just a stones throw away. Won't write about the upside because its been written but I'd share a little for others to consider.

I'd stayed many time from Sukhumvit Soi 11 onwards - but its one of the rare chances I stay in this area (Ratchadamri) so I took advantage of this and spent more time at the areas I hardly went to this side of town...

Location & Distance - because its so close to these places - sometimes cabs may be frustrated to take you to say Central Mall - their meters barely clicked a beat before we arrived - so it means that they have sat in a cue at the hotel and picked up a cheap fare.

So to do this - we had to plan our trips correctly and schedule so that we didn't start with the closest location/shopping center

Having said that - we walked back a few times from the different areas around with no hassle - but because it was raining season - it rained and we had to hail a cab - even for short distances... The streets are well paved by drainage sometimes makes it difficult for the ladies to keep themselves dry. So do remember to BRING AN UMBRELLA.

Near to Food :)
Do take note that there are quite a few restaurants in the Lang Suan area - this is lined with interesting restaurants - mostly frequented by locals (not streetside food) - one of those I'd tried was HOME KITCHEN - great local food - at decent princes.

Also the hotel is situated right on the Soi for Peninsula Shopping Center, if you're adventurous and want to try street food but don't know about the hygeine etc, you can try the place called PROVENCE - where they serve authethic Thai Boat Noodles - this is a very high quaility local food at very comfortable environment. (I will write a seperate review on the restaurant)

Stayed here last Nov for a vacation. The hotel was nothing fancy, but up to Courtyard standard, clean, nice services.

It is centrally located in downtown Bangkok, with 400 Baht for taxi fare from BKK (they usually not used meter). There are many other hotels around in the area. One of the most convenience for the hotel is close to Phra Phrom (four-faced Buddha) (2-3 min walk), and close to metro station (5 min walk).

Checkin was fast, and warm. The room was pretty much like other Courtyard in the US (I expected it nicer, since it is outside US, like those in HKG, or China, but not). But it was clean, and spacious. I did have a good night sleep.

I had a few drinks in the bar, which I thought expensive, compared to those in Bangkok. Overall, the hotel was OK, not fancy.

Since it was close to the metro station, I took the metro to the river bank, then took the boat to see the King's Grand Palace, which was fun, and cheap, worth a try.
