We just came back from BKK and stayed there for 4 nights. Value for $ place to stay, good breakfast daily but could have been better if they would change the menu more frequent. Room service food was cheap and good. Rooms was overall average.
Distance to Siam Paragon was a 5-10 min cab ride. Some taxi's were not familiar with the location, so take a card from the hotel. You can sign up to local tour or transport arrangement at the lobby. The guy there is very friendly and helpful. If you want to go to Dreamworld, get him to arrange, cheaper than Dreamworld deal to pick up. Will come back again.

Book via this hotel website for the lowest rates. As this is a new hotel, most taxi drivers are still unfamiliar to this hotel. Went to chatukcak and we couldn't get a single cab to bring us back to hotel even with the map... Got to show them the map which I print frm Hotel website. Cosy hotel I would say. The reception are overall friendly. The rooms are similar to chalets in SGP, but they come with a bath tub (bonus point). Rom service food was very nice and cheap. However, smoking rooms are kept at strictly Level 2. Breakfast was very nice although not much varieties but taste fantastic! Location wise.. its a bit way out of town, esp to shopping malls. My hubby and I tried to walk to their nearest so-call MBK but halfway we gave up cos it was way too far for us. Luckily Nov season is a cooling period for BKK! Train station was also very far, abt 20min walk to sky train, rather take a cab cos its cheaper compare to taking trains. Overall, I'm comfortable with this hotel but I'll try other hotels nearer to the shopping malls next time to cut time on waiting for cabs.

Bangkok City Suites was a great find for us as we were trying to save a little cash, and our previous budget standby--the Reno Hotel--was all booked up. Located down Patchaburi Road, about a 20 minute walk from the Ratchethewi BTS Skytrain stop, this hotel makes for perfectly fine accommodations, either for a 4-5 night stay or just a few nights.

Lots of great street food on the walk from Thanon Rama down to the hotel, and of course about five 7-11s. We were surprised at how quiet it was in our room despite the hotel's location at a busy highway intersection--we didn't hear a peep. Our 800 Baht room rate (double) included 30 minutes of free Internet usage a day, as well as a big breakfast buffet with all kinds of good food.

Room was basic, but very clean and spacious with A/C, fridge, cable TV, good shower pressure, daily maid service, safe, closet space. No pool, but if you're itching for a swim you can probably sneak into the Reno Hotel or Asia Hotel and use theirs.

Forget Khao San Road--the absolute worst part of Bangkok. If you're on somewhat of a budget or would just rather not blow your money on a hotel, the Bangkok City Suites is definitely recommended as an underrated hotel gem.

I'm not the kind of person who love to write a comment on the web, but we (me & my friends) are very impressed with this hotel. We have just returned from our intense shopping trip from Guangzhou & Hongkong, when we arrived at Bangkok that Friday night. We have booked our hotel through the internet via Bangkok City Suite website (www.bangkoksuite.com). We booked 2 rooms 4D/3N and a round trip airport transfer at the price of THB 5,600 (a really good price....).
The driver very polite and helpful, the reception officers are quite
fluent in their English, the facilities very good ( there are self coin
laundry machines - only 20THB per usage & a dryer - very helpful ; there's also 30 minutes free Internet ), the rooms are clean, nice, cozy, the bed really good, the bathrooms clean and nice, and the price quite low but the services really good.
A nice, new and clean 3-star hotel with the price of a regular hotel in the heart of Bangkok (near Pratunam).
The meal is good, the price is also good (low price) including for the rooms service.
Overall: really worth to stay in. New, clean, practical, complete
facilities and a very low price.
Very highly recommended...
