“Fantastic night out”

We were here on a Wednesday night and saw the Bangkok connection. Without a doubt the best live band we heard in Thailand. We got pretty lucky the night we were here because the lead singer from Da Endorphine was at the bar too and she happens to be then niece of the lead singer of Bangkok Connection so she did an amazing Alicia Keys cover with them. Bonus :) Drinks are reasonably priced if you don't get the waitress who charges you an extra 150 baht claiming it's tax but none of the other waitresses charge tax? We were seated upstairs when we arrived but asked 2 of the staff upstairs if we could move downstairs when some tables became available which they said was fine. So as we go to walk downstairs one of the waitresses grabs my shirt from behind and starts screaming "you pay now!!" at me. My husband told her we had asked to move downstairs and made her apologize to me. And yes this is the same waitress who then proceeded to charge us an extra 150 baht for our drinks. Apart from this incident we had a fantastic night and I would highly recommend coming here.

We went there on a Friday night with some friends who were locals. This pub has some great history. Its rare to find such a big jazz pub in asia and one that boasts such excellent bands is a real rare find. The atmosphere was great. They served up beers and excellent cocktails but for thai standards, its a bit more pricey. The band was amazing. It was like a 7 piece jazz band!!! And according to the locals. Sometimes they have a 12 piece jazz band! The music was incredible. If u can find a table after 10pm on a friday night. U should buy the lottery.

The Friday night "band" consisted of one Thai gentleman who played some 70's country music, very poorly. There was no Jazz or Blues. At one point i think he was singing Sweet Home Alabama in thai or he could have been just making random sounds. The drinks and food were OK, just don't expect too much from the music.

Great place and a refreshing change to the sound of techno music that blasts through most areas of Bangkok. A perfect place for a relaxing evening, especially for those who appreciate some talented musicians. The food was decent too. Just be sure to make reservations if you want a good spot. You'd hate to get stuck behind the post in such an otherwise great venue! Enjoy!
