“A convenient hotel at Soi 11”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

The hotel is some ten minutes walk from Nana Skytrain station. I booked three months in advance and is good value for the money having considered that it is right at Soi 11. A great location if you want a busy night life. I paid extra for the Superior room and has the room on the 4th Floor. It was quite and the aromatic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was of very good standard. Apart from the location, there is not much about the hotel.

Stayed from 2 nights with the wife. First for 1 day and then 2 days later came back and stayed another day. Decent size rooms. Would suggest rooms closer to the lift simply because we had issues with the wifi strength when we stayed the first nite in the last room of the 6th floor. The 2nd time we stayed half way and the it was all fine. The size of the pool is way too small though. Locations is excellent. 10 mins walk to the metro. The also have a facility to leave your luggage with them FOR FREE which came in handy when we took a short 2 day trip to phuket. Book in advance and you can get some really good deals. Buffet breakfast is decent too and if pre-booked you get at a very good rate.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the lift seem to get better wifi then futher away.

The hotel was "just" ok.I have stayed in this area of Bangkok many times but my first time there. I was very disappointed. As many reviewers said, the photos look much better than the real thing. From reception, the restautrant, the bars, to the rooms; they all need work.
Some of the staff were helpful but I felt others could care less.
On a positive note, I stayed 8 nights and on the first night, I was in a Superior room with a great view of the next hi-rise buildings wall. I asked if they could move me and they did accomodate me a with a large window Superior room looking out Soi 11. I did thank them for that.
Also, my room cleaning lady was very polite and helpful whenever I asked her questions.
The breakfast was just ok. I have stayed at other places for that same price, and a much nicer variety of food.
The hotel is in a great location ok Soi 11 with good restaurants and much entertainment on that street. But, will I stay there again? No!!!

The location is fantastic, 5-7 mins walk from Nana BTS station ( a must to be close to BTS or metro stations when staying in BKK), there were lots of places to eat and drink around. The staff were friendly. The only disappointment were the rooms, the bathroom could do with better maintenance (shower not working properly), there was water leakage in the corridor (although staff were repairing it), and the rooms were small and no proper windows (L shaped window, hardly call that a window).
On checking out, since we had a night flight, the staff extended the check out for 2 hours and allowed us to use a shower room later if required. That was very nice of them.

Room Tip: definitely on a higher floor and with an open view

The rooms are not at all the way it looks on the internet. I was quite surprised to hear that this hotel was only 5 years old and everything look very worn out. Its totally not value for money. Also there is no difference with standard room and superior everything looks same just that in superior they have parquet flooring or carpet and a dvd player in room, whereas standard room is just normal tiles with stains on the floor and head boards. They do not have too many rooms with windows so rooms with really small windows may feel suffocated. Yes the nest bar is really good but the rooms are really bad and need a quick renovation because with the price they are charging one could get a better 5 star hotel. Oh and if you just want to party all nite and then just crash in the morning then it might be fine in that case. But totally not for relaxation. But the staff is very friendly and co-operative. But overall looks of the room in the internet and in real was a disappointment. Oh and if you are Indian looking you might not be treated nicely !!!!!!

i stayed in Le Fenix in Late December for 3 nights. The hotel is a little more run down in real life than it is in the pictures. Could do with a mild upgrade. Check in took a little long but nothing to bad. The rooms were nice enough. Great location especially if you like to party. Q-Bar is just across the road and Bed Supper club is all of 1 min walk. There is also some good street food near by. Not the best hotel in it's range but I would have no problems going back.

Room Tip: The review of their roof top bar is very over rated. I went for 5 min and walked away. Still a decen...

We stayed as a couple and the overall experience was good. The staffs were polite and the location is very convenient. Our booking included breakfast which was good but could have been better.

Rooms are comfortable though small in size. The bathroom is considerably smaller.

NEST bar at the roof top is very liveley and vibrant with great service though the food is average.

All in all a nice hotel with relaxing environment.
