This hotel made our trip!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 11, 2011
One of the nicest hotels i've stayed in.. amazing design of the hotel, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome, delicious breakfast every morning, numerous bars and we booked all our tours at the hotel too. Made everything very easy.. walking distance to the MBK shopping mall and sky train. This hotel made our trip! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very Very nice.....You can ask for a smoking room if you're a smoker (I'm not), and they are very accomodating.Breakfast was perfect and the top restaurant view was stunning (dinner there for both visits) although it rained slightly both nights. Will most certainly be back there....forgot to mention it's a small train ride to the MBK shopping centre (just like a normal Westfields) and markets where you can barter yiur hearts out.Got suckered into a "ping pong" show.... be very wary as you pay to get in, watch the "shows" after which the "girls" hit you up for a free drink for them... felt obliged as I didn't want to find anything "unusual" in my next beer... and I'm not talking a ping pong ball!!BUT, when we got up the leave, the "madame" demanded $5 baht off us.... there were only four of us (incl 2 Aussie girls) and we'd had one beer each and spent probably about 30 minutes in the place. On refusing, she got only a mobile and began nattering our descripions to "someone".... playing the betting game, I suggested we mark this up as a lesson learnt, pay the bi*ch her money, and take off.... better than a visit to one of their casuality wards with a couple of cuts.... now where was that guy selling the tasers again... anywhere close??? :) Anyhow, that was the only bad experience... probably karma some might suggest... and I would agree....Anyhow, back to reviewing Siam Siam, NOT a table tennis tourament.... the hotel is truly lovely, and we'll most certyainly come back.... (but not for a game of ping pong)!

We stayed here for 4 nights with family which included adult children. The hotel is in a good location, very funky. Not sure if we will be back as we found Novotel Siam Square better value, just as good a location and the staff were more friendly.

We are staying in this hotel at the moment with our 2 kids (6 and 10). the rooms are a bit smaller than i expected but with interconnecting it works well. Breakfast are very good the buffet has new things everyday.
Dinner at the sushi restaurant was nice.
All the staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help. Location is perfect for a family to go shopping (you can come home for an afternoon rest). close to a Tesco

This was our last leg of our 3 1/2 week trip in Thailand. We stayed for 4 nights at Siam@Siam Design Hotel. First impression, very different decor but in the same breath very funky. We checked in just before 12noon and within minutes we were taken to our room on one of the high floors, we had a corner room which was awesome, views overlooking the Staduim and the sky train. Our room was very clean and tidy, not overly large in size but it was ideal for our short stay. Centrally located so that was a bonus. Within walking distance to all the malls.
Breakfast was very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we would come back here again if we stayed in Bangkok.
This comment is not in regards to the hotel but just Watch Out for the taxi guys outside on the main street, very pushy and they will try and take you to gem factorys or closing down/ last day shopping expos etc.
