“Very Suprised it was lovely!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

A great hotel! We got a free upgrade and the room was amazing. It had a lounge, a kitchen and a bedroom area, it was very spacious with a great view. The location of this hotel I thought was great it was only about a 5 or so minute walk to Siam square which was very convenient. The hotel is hidden away and is very quiet. I didn’t use the pool so I can’t comment. However the breakfast was lovely with a lot of variety. I recommend this hotel!!!

Once more it is a real pleasure to stay at Evergreen place. The price is really attractive, the location very convinient with BTS Ratchathewi close to the hotel (just walking): it is finally the best way to go to / come from the airport avoiding traffic jams and the main activities in the center are reached directly.
The staff is friendly and does his best to answer your requirements. The rooms are large and fully equipped because they look more in fact like studios than rooms...
The breakfast is really wonderful and relaxing at the swimming pool is nice after a hot day.
I highly recommend this hotel where I will stay again for sure.

I booked Evergreen Place on the Internet after looking at alot of other properties. We were traveling with our 15year old who likes her own space. My husband also gets up very early. I booked the executive suite as it had 2 bedrooms, living room & 2 bathrooms so this gave us the space we needed.
Firstly it is in a great location. Very close to all the Siam shopping centres as well as the MBK complex. About a very direct 5 minute walk.
Also very close to the BTS station. This rail system is extremely efficient & very easy to use. An all day pass will cost you 130BTH. One station is 15BTH. Don't be afraid to use the sky train. The locals are very helpful at the stations if you look lost. We used the system to get around without any problems. Even used it to go to the airport. Very easy, except for lugging the suitcases up stairs at the first station!
The rooms: not exactly as the pictures on the web suggested. The rooms are in need of a face lift. The room we had none of the drawers in the rooms closed properly. Never less the rooms are very clean & were cleaned very well everyday.
The staff are very friendly & mostly spoke good enough English to get by. There really isn't any concierge service so getting information was a bit hit & miss.
There had been comments about the breakfast not being great. I admit we have had better, but this was adequate. Advise, if you want toast be prepared to wait. The toaster takes ages to cook the toast! The breakfast gets very busy after about 9.
The aircon isn't easy to control. The fan seems to be either blasting or turbo & not a lot in between. We found if we turned the bedroom aircon off at night & left the living room on with doors open it made the bedroom comfortable enough to sleep. Our living room aircon broke twice but was fixed very quickly.
The only problem we had was a septic smell that was coming up through a drain in the second bathroom. It was not really noticeable unless that door was open so it didn't cause any problem until the last night. We needed to keep the door closed & the fan on. We checked out in the morning, but would have insisted in a room change if we were staying longer. We reported it so hopefully it will be fixed.
Overall a pleasant place to stay. It is in a great location. As the place is in a side lane it is very quiet. We had no road noise at all. I would stay there again.

We (family, 2 adults and two girls of 7 and 9-years old) stayed in an executive suite with two bedrooms. For us it was something different after staying in a boutique hotel, in an apartment as big as our house and in a hotel in traditional Thai style. The diversity of hotels made every stay special.
Our girls were impressed by the bell boy opening the door for us and taking our suitcases, by the big and fancy looking lounge and certainly by the enormous suite.
The suite has a very large living room with a small kitchen and two large bedrooms with nice soft beds. From our room we had an amazing view.
The swimming pool was large with enough beds to relax on. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Evergreen place is close to all the big shopping malls. When you walk out of your hotel, you have to go to your right and again to the right. Go straight ahead. If you walk this way, you will cross a klong (a small river). Here you can jump (sometimes you really have to jump) on a boat that will bring you to the city center. It's cheap and nice to do. Be careful, at the end of this klong, were you have to get out of the boat, there are a lot of people that seem to be nice. They first start a nice conversation. They tell you they are a student. They ask were you're going to and they point out how you have to walk. After that, they tell you it's a special day and that you can visit the sitting Buddha, of whatever kind of Buddha, for free. If they think you are interested, they tell you can go there with a cheap tuktuk. This will turn out to be an expensive day. A day you will remember, because it will be a lost day in Bangkok. Of course, we didn't believe this and we walked away. But after all the warnings on internet sites (like tripadvisor) and warnings in the hotels, we watched people getting in the tuktuk, looking really happy that they found such nice people. If something sounds to good to be true ...
Also close to the hotel is a 7-11.
A reason to book this hotel, was that it's close to the subway to the airport. But for us it didn't work. When you are with more people, its cheaper to take a taxi. We had to take a taxi anyway, because our flight was in the night and the subway was closed so late at night.
It's nice that you can leave your suitcases at the hotel after you check out. You can also use the pool and the showers before heading for your next destination.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a great view over Bangkok.

We had a verry nice stay in this hotel, close by several shopping areas within walking distance. Nice size pool and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was ok. wifi as working but a bit slow. We would certainly stay there again.

Booked for 4 days 3 nights online. Had some enquiries through email and all were answered promptly within 2 working days. Amazing.

Checked in at 6pm on 14 june 2013, was greeted by this two lovely customer service(one male who was limping but managed to smile at us, and one female) front desk. Requested for high floor - was given 19th.. highest was 22 or 23? cant remember. Asked for two twin beds - but got a queen sized bed.. that was the only disappointment. But nonetheless, the hotel room was huge, more than enough for two person. There is kitchen - you can cook (utensils were given, chopping board and everything else), microwave owen, water boiler(can make your own tea and coffee), toaster.. Forks, knife, spoon were also given. Complimentary bottled drinks were given. View from the 19th floor was magnificient. You can see the pool. However, one of the balcony door's lock was faulty but i guess it was nothing much of a fuss to make. Too many doors but i like the idea of having the TV separate from the bed.. DVD player was also provided..

Sunrise view was excellent. you can see the opposite hotel's pool from the 19th floor...

We were also given 3 one-day bts passes which were very helpful for us. There are also maps provided at the front desk.. When we go down to check out the area around the hotel, we were greeted again by the front desk... and the person at the hotel entrance, opened the door for us with such a warming smile. He recommended us where to go to eat dinner. So thoughtful!

When we got back to our hotel, the door was once again opened for us. Excellent customer service. We went to the gym and pool. The in-charge smiled at us. Very friendly. We went for a massage in the hotel at 8th floor on our 2nd day after chatuchak market shopping spree. Very professional therapist.

Our room was cleaned by the hotel personel each day, bedsheets were changed, towels too... rubbish was cleared, plates were cleaned, water bottles were topped up... so it feels like brand new whenever we come back from a tiring day of shopping.. amazing.. and the hotel personnel was full of smiles too.

Managed to take photos with the hotel personnels for memories sake.. They didn't refuse at all!

Breakfast buffet spread was good. There was french toast, vegetarian food available, strawberry yoghurt, salad, fried fish with cream sauce, mashed potato.. bread, toast, coffee/tea/juices.. soups, sausages.. etc, etc. Tables was cleaned promptly and smiles were often flashed by the hotel personnel.

The hotel is VERY near to the BTS station...Ratchathewi. 5 mins walking distance. Besides Asia hotel... 10-15 mins walking distance to the famous MBK mall... there is also a night market opposite of siam paragon/siam centre/siam disc centre selling alot of stuffs at really cheap bargainable prices. There are two 7 eleven stores near the hotel. If you are taking tuk-tuk, u shud just say "near asia hotel" and they will know.. alot of places where you can have your massages(foot/body/shoulder/etc) near the hotel. There is also seafood stalls near the hotel. Very convenient. Walking distance to platinum fashion mall/pantip mall, about 20-30 minutes... Very accessible hotel.

Room Tip: High floor - excellent city view
