Clean, comfortable and easy access

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 14, 2011
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in February for 10 days. It cost us under $50 AUD a night, which included a buffet breakfast each morning and the hotel had free wi fi also.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the BTS Sky train station which is very handy. The staff were friendly (although the concierge at times annoyed us when we were trying to get a decent price for a tuk tuk ride - he seemed more interested in making sure his tuk tuk 'friends' were looked after than us!).

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice kings beds. The shower was a bit annoying as it was over a bathtub and the shower curtain didnt go the whole way around so the bathroom floor would always get really wet. Not great water pressure either but I think thats normal!

The food was really yummy - I got my eggs on toast for brekkie and my husband ate from the buffet. We ordered room service a few times, and the reception staff also ordered take away in for us when we asked which was great.

The pool area is small but nice - and never too busy.

Overall a really nice stay and I would certainly stay again!

Having stayed twice that in itself says a lot. Rooms have all one needs, but the TV's need updating.Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is a buffet but you order alcarte for the main plate, eggs how you wish plus whatever you fancy.
Within walking distance of two skytrains stations, one on Silom (Saladaeng)so its close to Patpong night market and all Silom/Suriwong area has to offer :)!
Taxis have a bit of a problem finding it so just say Silom Soi3 right next to the BKK Bank HQ a tower building. The hotel website has a map.

The Furama felt warm and friendly and they even have a free drink for happy hour!

Stayed at the FX Sathorn for 5 nights. The room was extremely big, comfortable and clean.

The gym was quite disappointed since they was only like 3 CV machines and a few weight machines. The pool was okay, not the biggest.

The buffet breakfast was extremely good, with friendly restaurant staff.

This was our first trip to Bangkok and we stayed here for 4 nights. We paid 500 Baht for a metered Taxi from the airport. It is tucked away but in a great location. It was only a 2 minute walk to the Skytrain, Banks, Money Exchange and 7/11's are everywhere! For first timers, get everything you need from the 7/11's......toiletries, drinks, alcohol, snacks.....sooo cheap! The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly.....right from the cleaners, bell boys to the kitchen. Nothing was too hard and they made you feel important. The breakfast was definitely a highlight for us, great selection, fresh and plentiful. Make sure to get a card from the Hotel for directions for taxi/tuk tuk drivers as many found it hard to find.....Enjoy your stay, we did!!

I do not normally stay in this area but when I do this is a good option. It is quiet but close to the BTS line from two different stops and close to malls and shopping.

I liked the big room and full kitchen.

Stayed for seven nights in a Premier Room, high floor Sathorn side. Booked 2 Rooms. Previous stay around 12 months ago. Hotel/Rooms are getting to the stage where a refurbishment is needed to freshen up its presentation. Problem on check in with room types (hotel claimed misunderstanding with Expedia), after I provided evidence of the correct room type (had to log on to my Expedia account) the issue was resolved - however the process was a bit tedious especially as we had just got in from a long flight.
On a previous visit I commented on the friendliness of the staff, and this has not changed, the atmosphere is very friendly from reception staff to housekeeping.
There is a "happy hour" from 6 -7pm each day when beer, soft drinks and snacks are free to guests.
The location of the hotel is great, tucked in a small street near the Belgian Embassy note: some taxi drivers may have difficulty finding it so make sure you have it marked on a map for them (preferably in Thai). It is minutes from the clubs and nightlife of the Silom area and Chong Nonsi Skytrain Station which can whisk you to most of the main Bangkok attractions and shopping.
Premier rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful variety and good quality.
Overall a pleasant stay and would stay again in the future.
