Have stayed quite a few times here ,but this time was a little disappointed . The bedrooms are lovely and big and have a small kitchen area with microwave but this area needs a refurb and redecorate the window blind was dirty and broken, the bedroom curtains were full of water mark stains and hanging off there hooks ,of which we hooked back up ourselves ,the aircon unit was not up to standard .The shower room needs updating with a more powerful shower .We were on the 4th floor and had to go downstairs to get any signal for the I pad ,but on the last day it was working much better we had spoken to the manager about it and he said he was hoping to improve it so maybe this had been done.Although we have a few grumbles about this hotel it is always busy ,it is convenient for the sky train and shops ,we have always found it a safe area to be in ,and of course it is a reasonable price for a stay in Bangkok, just needs a little bit of a tidy up in places .

Dear Khun Juidth,

Thank you for taking your time and reviewing Royal Ivory, we truly appreciate your feedback and will take action to correct them, especially our rooms. There is no excuse for the poor standard of that room you where check-in to, the team will work hard to keep its standards making sure every is working as it should and that faults are minimize. During your stay with us the hotel’s housekeepers are swamp with many check-ins and out, which usually rarely happens in Royal Ivory. Though we are glad the hotel is full Royal Ivory was ill-expected to such demands from the market hence the poor standard on that one room.

Royal Ivory’s Wi-Fi facility as you have mention was been fixed and optimize by professional during your stay and have stayed fix ever since. Royal Ivory is very happy to let all guest knows that your internet service is more stable than ever.

Most importantly, we sincerely thank you for choosing Royal Ivory during your visit to Bangkok and would love to have you staying with us again in the near future. If there is anything we could assist you with during you stay please do not hesitate to demand your service, without your constructive feedback the ivory team would not be able to service or keep our standards.

Thank you so much, please e-mail us to let us know when we could service again in the future!

Sincerely,
Royal Ivory Team

Second time I stayed over at Royal Ivory. Was very very happy when I stayed here the first time.

Good : Rooms are good and spacious. Location is good. Breakfast was very good.

Bad : Everything Else. Reception very unfriendly and not efficient. Internet was a joke(Was fast when it worked for the 2 minute spurts though). Room service was a total letdown. Pool table was on its last legs(Fun to play on while drunk though). AC in the rooms I stayed in both times was total rubbish. Bathroom towel holders kept falling to the floor.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are worth the extra cash. Much more spacious than the standard ones.

Dear Khun Naveen,

Thank you for your compliments, our rooms is designed to accommodate families and long stay travelers. Unlike most of the hotel in Nana district Royal Ivory rooms are larger even twice as large in comparison to new hotel rooms in the area and without extra charges we have the same price tag as them. Our internet facilities is something the hotel is always working on, we tried purchasing new batch of Access Points, doubled almost tripled the speed limit and even processing daily maintenance but with growing demands and devices there are always some “IP clashes”. I promise we will keep at it and surely fix this outstanding issue. I absolutely agree with your TIP and by booking straight on our website you can get best price on Deluxe room guaranteed.

Sincerely,
Royal Ivory Team

Stayed here few times and I find this hotel to be good value for money, The Deluxe room is really nice a spacious compared to the other hotel nearby. The room design is Thai style which looks nice. The pool could be better though. The internet might be low in signal sometimes but it is usable and works. Will stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: Don't Use the TUK TUK and Taxi in front of the hotel

Our room was fairly clean and spacious however the sheets and towels were stained as mentioned in previous reviews. Shower was hit and miss with temperature but none the leas it was big. Staff were friendly however there was a considerble language barrier which meant they couldn't be as helpful. The breakfast was decent there was a good selection. Location is quite central as near many shops, bars and restaurants which makes this hotel very good value for money. However if you have a family or do not wish to be you enlightened by prostitutes, lady boys and everything else Bangkok has to offer this is most definitely not the place for you!

Dear Khun Sophiamk

Thank you for reviewing Royal Ivory Nana 4. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving us another chance Royal Ivory has now just received 200 new fresh towels, 100 new linen sheets and has pass-on the old towels and sheets for recycle. Though most of our Housekeepers doesn’t clearly understand or speak English our reception team is always willing to help. And we just have a new receptionist team member added to the team who is quite decent English skills, I sure you will be impressed on our improvement on your next visit. Thank you for you compliments on our breakfast and great location for resting, peace and quiet which are rarely found in Nana street, but Royal Ivory Nana 4 has.

Sincerely,
Royal Ivory Team

I have stayed here many times and normally its a good hotel, great location, the premises could be a bit cleaner! The pool is absolutely filthy, also the communal areas were not very clean. Otherwise not a bad hotel, We had a massive room with kitchenette. Breakfast is included and although its basic it is adequate.
The reception staff are not the best, if you call them with a problem they just hang up the phone on you mid conversation. They don't seem to realize that you can just walk down and see them face to face.
The bell boys are very nice and helpful. The hotel provide a free Tuk Tuk to take you to the nearest BTS Station Nana or to the end of the long road. Also if you want they will give you their personal mobile number and if you call them they will come and collect you.Great service.
One thing to mention is that i left the hotel at 11am to go out for a meeting. When i returned the door was wide open. When i called reception to tell them they said it will be the cleaner she does it all the time and then just hung up

As for our reception staff, I am happy to announce that we will have a new front office manager who has been with us since the beginning but has left for personal reasons and just come back after 4+ years. Khun Mai, our new front office/operations manager will be re-training and keeping all conduct up to par. We have also fixed the reception’s telephone cable enabling reception to hear guest clearly, and we truly apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our Housekeeper manager would like to apologize for the premises cleanliest, we will definitely improve on it. Thank you soon much for your valuable feedback and reviews!

Dear Khun Canoe,

Thank you for your feedback I will pass this on to our Housekeeper manager and Engineers who looks after the swimming pool. Thank you for your compliments, we will do our best to keep the establishment up to your standards. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our Deluxe Room and the morning buffet breakfast. Thank you for reviewing us in the occasion, wish you all the best, and hope to see you soon in the near future sir.

Two Thumbs up for great tip from Khun Canoe, the team themselves agree with Khun Canoe that the Deluxe room though just bit more expensive is just more spacious that most 3 star hotel rooms in bangkok.

Sincerely,
Royal Ivory Team

We stayed in the Royal Ivory Hotel for just one night. We arrived in Bangkok after midnight and had arranged to be picked up at the airport. The first thing to go wrong was that we had been told to wait at door 4 of departures. No-one was there for us. We thought we should try arrivals just in case it was some kind of mistake and there was our driver. The whole way to the hotel the driver tried to pressurize us to take a tour with him during our stay. We did not want to and this just became annoying. When we reached the hotel, the driver demanded 800 bahts for the trip, though as far as we were concerned we had already paid by credit card when we booked. Of course we did not pay him and he gave up eventually but it was not pleasant.

We got checked in by the night receptionist who was efficient, though not friendly. The man who showed us to our room was the first friendly person we encountered.

The room itself was fine - old fashioned, dark furniture, a bed that I found comfortable, but then I like a firm mattress. Others might find it hard. There was a kettle in the room. There was a fridge with minibar selling beer chang at a very reasonable rate.

Although this hotel is near major nightlife areas, restaurants, bars, girlie bars, it was far enough away to be quiet. There were restaurants and a 7-eleven nearby.

In the morning we ate a very tasty breakfast. I had several excellent Thai dishes. There was less choice on the western type items, but there was enough. You could also get egg dishes freshly made. Breakfast staff were nice and breakfast was good.

We tried out the hotel's pool which was small but OK to cool down in. Part of the pool was also a jacuzzi. Our opinion of the hotel was improving.

We had asked for a free late check-out and were allowed to stay till 3pm, which I thought was excellent. I believe the hotel will also do free early check-ins, subject to availability.

We checked out. The girl at the desk was friendly. Everything fine.

However, about a week later an extra payment for the hotel was charged to my husband's credit card bill. Not for the whole amount, just a small amount, but all the same unauthorized. My husband e-mailed the hotel and asked them to explain. They did not reply. He has now contacted them again. This has made us question the honesty of the hotel and has convinced us that we won't be staying there again and living in Hong Kong we are frequent visitors to Bangkok, so their loss, not ours.

This is the first time we have ever experienced this from a Thai hotel and unless they answer us with a reasonable explanation can only see it as dishonesty.

To get to the hotel you would take the sky train to Nana Station. It is about a 10 minute walk.

Dear Khun Irene,

Please send us an e-mail at reservations@royalivory.com. We will take care of this outstanding issue immediately. I am extremely the hotel has not reply your emails, our operations manager has just left the establishment your case must have arose during that transition. We will sort out the overcharge. Other than that I am happy to hear that you have a pleasant experience at Royal Ivory Nana 4, I hope you can give us another chance. Personally I recommend taking Taxis from departure gates that goes by meter and they are always some around those areas. Our Limousine service is an ancillary service outsourced by the hotel, hence the payment misunderstanding and inappropriately handled by the limousine driver. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for staying at Royal Ivory Nana 4 and we would be grateful if you could give us another chance. Thank you for reviewing Royal Ivory Nana 4, wish you all the best!

Sincerely,
Royal Ivory Team
