“GOOD HOTEL”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

I stayed at DIG for 4 nights and found the hotel to be good and suited to everyones taste.

Location: Located on Soi 6, just few meters away from soi 4. It is ideally located for people looking for fun activities on soi 4 and for people with kids and family. It is slightly away from the main action area and therefore gives you some space. Seven Eleven is just next door, Barber, Massage and ATM within the hotel premises.

ROOMS: Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Aircon is powerful. Sufficient channels on TV. Good sized bathroom with hand faucet. There is some space between the window curtain and the glass of window which can be used for sitting or lying down. this place is ideal to sit and talk or to have couple of drinks! The sofa size is good for 2 people. Work desk is good enough for using the laptop. Minibar is sufficiently stocked. Bed size is good.

RECEPTION: I have been staying at DIG for quite some time and previously I always had a complaint that the front desk staff were not as polite and friendly as DAWIN staff. But this time, to my surprise, the staff had changed and were much better than the previous lot. Checkin was fast and rooms were given as per our request, so no complains.

RESTAURANT: They have re-modelled the restaurant and made it smaller in size though it now looks better than before. Choice of food is limited and preparation in ok, nothing great about it. The staff in the restaurant are a lil laid back. But that hardly matters as there is enough choice within 100 mtrs of the hotel. Of all the food I ate there, I did not like french fries as the pieces were too thick and was over cooked. Chicken clear soup was fantastic and so was chicken with cashew and pad thai.

I usually stay at THE DAWIN as it is my favorite hotel, but I found that with little additional payment DIG offers a much better experience in terms of quality of room and other services. Despite this, DAWIN remains my favorite because of its location and wonderful staff.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new block are better. Ask for rooms facing the pool.

I've now stayed at DIG a few times (finely doing some tripadvisor reviews!!) and I've never had a problem. Like the majority of Asian locations, the staff are very friendly and willing to help. I find the rooms to be a very good size, clean and in top condition. As another reviewer mentioned, the safe is a good size for all laptops, cameras, etc.

Location is well placed with the BTS just a 2-3 minute walk away which then provides fast and cheap access to many areas of Bangers. Sure, it's close to Nana Plaza (adult entertainment area), but this area can be easily avoided, particularly if you're travelling with children.

Whilst I've stayed in other hotels here (Lebua, Westin, etc), for the price, location and staff, it's always had to pass up the Dynasty Inn Grande. Also, if you're planning a trip to Pattaya and you're staying at the Dynasty there as well, the hotel will provide you with free transfer to Pattaya.

As other reviewers make clear everything about this hotel is good. The staff are very helpful. The room safe is at a very convenient height and could take two Canon DSLR cameras, a Netbook plus usual travel paraphernalia. My wife and I particularly like the spacious shower and bath wet area - which is bigger and better than the bathrooms found in more luxurious hotels. As an earlier review says "DGH is a good hotel in terms location, service, security and accessibility."

Room Tip: In visits over four years I have yet to have a bad room. I suspect they are all good.

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in January. This was my first time here and I must say this is an excellent hotel. I normally stay at The Dawin and have stayed at Majestic Grande and Suites and the JW Marriott before. I like staying in the Sukhumvit area because it is close to the skytrain and other attractions.

The good things about the hotel is the size of the rooms. I had the lowest price room. It uses a key card which is nice. It came with a nice king size bed, a 2 person sofa, desk 32 inch flat screen. Many channels and very clean room. The wifi was free also, but you had to use the login and password everytime you turned on your computer. There was no good way to have your laptop remember it. I should also note there was a safe more my 15 inch laptop and valuable. The room also had a minibar with a bottle of complimentary water. The bathroom was big with a walk in shower and a bathtub next to it. The hotel is on Soi 6, I had a room in the back tower and there was no noise at night. I could see the pool from my room. The closet was clean and a good size. The nighstand had a electronic control for the room. It lets you control the lights and air conditioning right from your bed.

The few bad things and these are no big deals. They ask for a 500 baht deposit when you check in. There was no problem in getting it back at the end of the stay. The wifi access was a bit annoying as I mentioned above. If you love shopping malls, then you will need to take the sky train or use a taxi. Hotels like Holiday Inn are within walking distance of shopping malls, this one is not that close, but I have no issues with using the sky train. I dislike using taxis in BKK. I was quoted 500 Baht to take me to the Southern Bus Station. When I found a taxi that used the meter, it was 200 Baht including tip.

I only ate at the restaurant once, but it was good. It is a 5 minute walk to the Nana sky train. If you like bars and such, it is a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. The food options are plentiful, Thai, Indian, Pizza, street food. Almost anything you want.

It is about 10% more that The Dawin, which is a hotel I really like also. The room here was a little bigger, nicer bathroom. If you stay here, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have stayed in Dynasty Grande for many many times.
This is my first time reviewing.

Dynasty Grande Hotel (DGH) is well... a no frills hotel that punches above its weight.

The rates are not expensive n the facilities are superb.

The rooms are big n clean.
Cable TV with DVD player in every room.
Free Internet thou not Wi-Fi. (I am juz nit picking here)
A decent sized pool where you can do some laps.
Gym with sufficient equipment.
The staff are professional and trustworthy,The front desk will not intro some driver to send you somewhere. and you can leave your laptop n money on the work desk in yr room n nothing will be missing.
Bloom Cafe on the ground floor is serving good food, but the food options ard the corner are even better.

Beside DGH is a 7-11.
Nana BTS station is less than 3 min away.
Nana Plaza is also less than 5 min away.
Near enough but far enough to feel peaceful.

So what can be wrong about this place?

Here's the thing,
If you here with your buddies. Make no mistake. This is the place for you.
No judging eyes, no walk of shame.
This hotel is as simple n as guilt-free they come.

If you are with your family, err... there r better options for you.
Dun spoil it for us single guys.

In short, to me. DGH is not really a hotel for the family.
Too many PG-16 stuff going on.
But if you can live with it.
DGH is a good hotel in terms location, service, security and accessibility.

Room Tip: Avoid a room that is facing Soi 6. Best is a room facing the pool

Have stayed here on and off for past 6 years since in opened and never had a problem clean safe location not too far from Nana Plaza (RLD) but far enough away so that no hassle from working girls.
Professional staff very good english
You pay less elsewhere but can not guarantee the level of everything
Food is not bad either but its expensive for what you get, better to eat out
free wifi or lan in room
hbo etc on tv, in room safe
never had a problem staying here
wife loves it as she can eat the crap from the carts 2 mins walk from front door - I just call mcdonalds or kfc if I want something.

Room Tip: I always get a room in the back building non smoking room service is good little bit expensive but...

The hotel is just off Nana Soi 4 road which is bustling with pubs, beer
bars and night life. I booked a Grand deluxe room which was large and
quiet. The bathroom was large and better than in other similar priced
hotels I have stayed in. The restaurant was also good. There are also plenty
of eating options on Soi 4, a short walk from the hotel. The only downside
was the hotel staff (with the exception of a lady manager at the front
office) sometimes find it difficult to understand english.
