Moved over to Grand Sukhumvit from a small boutique hotel near Asok BTS because of work. Stayed here previously in Mar 2011. Going to be objective.

Pros:
1) Good location. Only like 3 minutes walk to Nana BTS. If lazy to walk, the hotel has a tuk-tuk to bring you to the BTS
2) Nice gym and pool
3) Upgraded to a junior suite which was of a good size

Cons:
1) Was having breakfast alone. Was shown to my table and went to get my food. Upon my return, someone else was sitting on my table. This is not the first time this has happened. Back in Mar 2011, the same thing happened on 2 days too. I understand that being alone, there is no way the staff will know whether I had left or gone to get more food, perhaps they want to consider the use of a tag on the table, showing its taken, and when the guest is done, the guest can turn the tag over.

2) The internet access can only be accessed by 1 device at a time. In this day and age where we have multiple devices to access the internet, this seems pretty jurassic. To get an additional connection, they charge THB500 for 24 hours! I just came over to stay from a small boutique hotel called Sacha's Hotel Uno and they just give free internet access to all their guests with no limit on how many devices can access the network

3) There was no newspapers provided. Was told I had to go to the lobby if I wanted to read the newspapers. Over at Sacha's, newspapers were at our door every morning.

4) The lift can take some time.

Considering not to stay here after this trip. Not enough care to details..

The hotel charges its guests 500 Thai money =CAD25$ for a 24h wireless access.

Our vacation package including breakfasts during our stay, but we couldn't have any because its only restaurant doesn't open until 6:30am; and we have to pay for it if we order it to be delivered to our room! Even it was ordered a day before, nothing was delivered!

It is located in downtown Bangcok, but it is awful to drive there because it was one way traffic;and if it is during rush hours, you Will be better off by foot!

We stayed in platinum room on the 34th floor. Taken to a separate check in lounge when we arrived , complimentary juices while they completed our paperwork. It was a small apartment. Lounge room, kitchen, master bedroom with on-suite. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Great location, short walk, to Sukhumvit road at soi 11. and the Australian Pub.
Only drawback was an occasional smell coming from bathroom drains.
Would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Thailand. The hotel is close to many attractions as well as night life. The beds were soft, which seems to be unusual for Thailand, at least all other hotel beds we stayed at in Thailand were very hard. The rooms were very nice, we had 2 suites, I do not know what the other rooms looked like or their size, but the junior suites are very large. We thought the morning breakfast buffet was one of the best we have seen in this area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The night life can be a bit sketchy as there is a red light area close by. We traveled with our 2 daughters, they are teenagers, although it is evident what is going on it is not to revealing or intrusive.

Hotel was well presented. We stayed for 3 nights so were upgraded to Platinum suite - nice to have separate lounge and kitchen area. Less than 5 min walk to Nana station (skytrain). If you turn left from hotel entrance you tend to find a bit seedier part of town but if you go left/straight it is a bit nicer. Hotel pool was nice. Had a foot massage in the beauty spa which was lovely. Internet was expensive at hotel. There is a cheap Internet cafe next door behind the 7-11. Nice buffet breakfast with plenty of options.
