the good: it's in the centre of China town, which means everywhere food stalls. It's a boutique hotel, so rooms and halls are all decorated uniquely. Service is great and quick (the bell boy stood in the rain to help us get a taxi!). Great hotel bar with live music and beautiful waitresses.

the bad: outside the hotel it is quite noisy and overcrowded, if you can't stand that this is not your place to be. No swimming pools or fitness centers either, if you are in for those.

An incredible experience through and through, the staff were incredible in their entirety and made every attempt to ensure our thorough enjoyment of our four night stay there. We highly recommend the cooking course, it's a tad expensive but we had the whole kitchen helping us and the food was fantastic!!
The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options for Thai and western tastes.
Wish we could go back to see our favorite staff member "Tui" who was an absolute sweetheart and really made our stay that much more enjoyable. The tuk tuk service was great but book early! And make sure to wonder to the close by chinese markets that will blow your mind.
We will be going back.

Room Tip: Elevators ding can be heard, other than that was quite quiet for us on the main floor.

We loved this hotel as it was different to anything else we looked at. It is beautifully decorated and in 1930s style and you feel like you step off the manic streets of China Town in to another time and world.
The rooms were large but no natural light in ours, apparently the street side of the hotel has natural light. The other thing to be aware of is there didn't seem to be balconies on any rooms which we thought was a bit misleading on their website. Each room has a little 'terrace' but it is actually inside the hotel overlooking the internal pond and lamps and they are not private. We weren't there very long though so it wasn't a major problem. If you smoke they have a smoking area downstairs.
The buffet was the best we had on our whole trip with a mixture of western and Chinese. We ate all other meals on the street which is exactly the reason why we chose this location. The abundance of street stalls in the evening is great and good quality. The hotel provide recommendations but we just walked and stopped where it seemed busy. This is the best part of this location. This is a very authentic China Town, there are no backpacker/travel places here at all and you need to leave China Town for those things so if that's what you're after I wouldn't recommend this area.
Spend a night in Cotton Jazz bar too, it is really nicely presented and the music was fabulous, we were very impressed and wished we'd gone in earlier than our last night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street size for natural light; however be mindful this might come with noise.

The hotel is very quiet, clean and welcoming right in the centre of busy and noisy Chinatown of Bangkok. The room is not too large but very comfortable. The room decor reflects the 1950's of Shanghai, interesting. WIFI in the room is free. Breakfast is equally good.

It has a little open air Cafe at the ground floor where you can watch the world goes by.

The hotel's signboard is not easily noticed, just tell the taxi man to stop opposite the China Town Hotel.

I selected this hotel because it is close to the train station as I was travelling to Vievtiene the next day. Being a small boutique hotel was difficult to find. The exterior and reception are not very impressive however do not let this put you off. I had a 1 bedroom suite which had a sitting area a very large king size bed, separate bath and shower which was very clean. Good toiletries with large towels and Chinese style slippers. Free wifi and mini bar was also included
A good breakfast consisting of both Asian and European dishes. Had no complaints with the service.
They supplied free one way shuttle to shopping centres, grand palace, and railway station.
If you like street food it is a gourmets delight with good quality foods stalls along the street in both directions at night.
If I was staying in Chinatown again I would definitely choose this hotel

Love this hotel, room was spacious, enclosed shower, sep double bathtub, sep toilet. Lovely toiletries. Tea making area and a nice sitting area in outside of the room. Step outside the hotel and Ta Da tons of food to choose from. Hotel was surprisingly quiet given the general mayhem outside, rooms seemed to be away from direct street noise. did not have chance to eat here but Cotton looked nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall Great value for money.

good accommodation, beautiful authentic Chinese interior design. Easy to get around using tuk tuk. Located in the middle of china, it is very busy. Service was not friendly and relied on tour operators to organise visits.
