Siam Square, giant shopping mall, next to giant shopping mall, across the road from giant shopping mall and to top it off, Siam Paragon, proof of mindless consumerism to the max, part of the Siam Piwat Group operating shopping center and retail business including Siamparagon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, Paradise Park, Loft retail shop and other prominent subsidiaries.

Come and see it, while it and the fraudulant banking system our society is based on lasts.

If you are looking for branded stuff, then this is the place. I also loved the food it had, extensive area spread out with many different kinds of food restaurants. However, buying stuff is quite expensive at Siam. I was at Siam just before the Christmas, and the entrance of the mall was decorated with a huge Christmas tree. The whole mall looked gorgeous.

The mall is huge with so many facilities. Rows of branded boutiques, upscale restaurants and department store are the main fixtures but they also have a really nice supermarket along with an excellent food halls. The mall also have a nice aquarium for the kids to wonder and modern cineplex for you to try if the weather outside is not too friendly. But my personal favourite is their traditional Thai snacks vendors right in front of the supermarket. If you have a weak stomach and too afraid to sample Thai snacks from the road stalls/market then this is the place to go. They have every little parcels of goodness from banana fritters to thumb-size sausages to coconut milk pancakes for you to sample (sorry, cannot remember the names, just the taste). You should try them out! And oh, the mall is a stone throw away from Siam Kempinski Hotel and have direct access from BTS Siam station.

The added attraction, if you have young kids, is the aquarium, Kidzania and the cinema.
The food hall has delicious food and it's all extremely clean. Highly recommended if you want to spend some time with the kids but. It melt outdoors.
