I stayed there 3 nights at the beginning of January. I love the location: 150 m from Khaosan Road. The advantages without too much noise. I had a good price: 650 b with breakfast and illimited Wifi. The breakfast was small but OK, and the Wifi, even if limited to 512K and sometimes stopped, was acceptable. There is no lift, even for the third floor, but it’s acceptable with such a low price.

My room, number 302, was big enough, but with a smell of mouldy. When I started the A/C, the fan started, but no cold air. 10 mn after, I began to sneeze. The days after, I had a bad cold, and I had to buy some medecine. I guess the filters have never been cleaned. The A/C compressor wasn't working (green light never on), so the temperature was high. Some baby cockroaches were coming from behind the fridge from time to time. I asked at the front desk for another room, but it was difficult to be satisfied. After four times, and wait onsite at noon time, I managed to have another room which was OK, even if it was smaller (the sink was blocked, but quickly fixed when I requested).

My advice would be to go there only if you really don’t have enough money to pay for a 850 b room (there are a many hotels near), and negotiate with front desk in case of room problem.

Room tip: Avoid room 302. Check the compressor green light of the A/C at the wall : if it doesn't lit on, the A/C doesn't work. Don't stay if you can smell mouldy : you will be ill, the filter is dirty.

Quite dirty and noisy, staff aren't very proactive and the tuk tuk drivers outside are not to be trusted. It is a good location if you like the Khao San touristy area. Next time we would look to stay away from this area and in another hotel.

Couldn't find a better location for the amount you pay.

The rooms are reasonably clean and just a stone's throw away from busy Khaosan Road and the Royal Palace.

It's a no-frills type place, but it suited everything I wanted from Bangkok - cheap, cheerful and centrally located.

We had some frequent flyer miles to spend so we booked this place for 1 night. Its the only hotel Ive ever stayed in where they had condoms and cheap whiskey for sale in the room. What does that tell you? Anyway the place was a bit unsettling ,the kind of place you lock and bolt the door as soon as you are inside .I took everything I needed ,cash ,passport .credit cards camera with me when ever I step out of the room. The room smelled a bit but it was passable for 1 night

Room tip: brief stays only

I don’t know what all these positive reviews are about. This place is a HOLE and an expensive one at that. $20 (the discounted Agoda price) for a smelly, dingy room (single) that has had only the most basic of cleaning – cockroaches, pubic hair, some various bits of what I can only hope is food smeared over the fridge and T.V. stand. The sheets did look clean. “Quiet”? – rather, very loud music playing until early hours of the morning. “they even give you shampoo and conditioner”? – you mean that stuff that smells like toilet detergent and leaves your hands sucked of all moisture to make you think it is? – refilled in pre-used bottles that I’m not sure have been cleaned. You have to actually stand almost over the toilet – definitely touching it – in order to take a shower. Then all those lovely things like towels and wifi are an added extra (not complimentary like they advertise), although upon complaining to the humoured and unconcerned reception staff, he waved the towel fee. And included in the list of add-ons is a door delivery of condoms.... need I say more? 750 Baht ($25) is the original price of this ‘fantastic’ experience. Really guys, I can bum it like the rest of them, but not for this price in Thailand... Please don’t waste your money here, you would be happier sharing a room with 3 other backpackers at one of the more lovely hostels in the area. I have been advised to look for rooms behind the temple next time.

Room tip: don't come here.
