“Great hotel”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

We stayed for 4 days in Feb in a superior room and were very happy with the room, the hotel and all facilities. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice which also catered well for my wife who's a vegetarian. The gym has multi machines, free weights and benches, the hotel also has a roof top pool, sauna and spa pool. The reception and concierge were very helpful helping us plan our day, I should also mention its very close to a sky train station so you hop on one to get around.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on as high a floor as possible so you can enjoy the views.

The location was GREAT, conveniently located to the Nana BTS sky train which is easy to navigate throughout the city. Shopping/attractions:Siam station, Siloam square & all Wat's are easy to get to. Staff has been extremely helpful with checking/out (late checkout was not a problem), clean spacious rooms, spa, steam room & sauna made it a great end to the day. Also great little thai restaurants & street vendors within a few block radius. The concerige is helpful but with anything in this city be aware of the vested interest in selling or taking you somewhere that is expensive. Ex. They told us it would be 1500baht to take a taxi to the floating market. We took a train, & a tuk tuk for less than 100 baht for 2 people (not including the boat).

Location: Excellent.
LRT and two stations within a few blocks walking distance. There is also a Starbucks at the end of the block on the main strip of Thanon Sukhumvit. If you walk about a kilometre two the west of this you will find all the best malls in Bangkok - Central World, Siam Paragon. The nice thing here is that there is an above ground walkway all the way to the malls. This eliminates having to deal with the vehicle traffic.

Food:
Excellent brunch. Made to order eggs, salad, variety of thai food, dim sum, fresh fruit, pastries, bread, cheeses, juices, salads. You had an option of indoor or outdoor service by their pool.

Staff:
Friendly, courteous and helpful. There was a miscommunications between our Travel Agent and the hotel so they had to find us another room. They offered a complimentary drink in their lounge while they resolved the problem. An upgrade at no extra charge was provided.
* There is a notation from a reviewer about the staff’s english. I found no problems. It was fine.

Room:
Large with plenty of closet and shelf spaces. You should familiarize yourself with electronic system to control the lights, tv and room temp. It should only take a few minutes and I found it to be quite convenient. The beds were comfortable.

The shower head in the bathroom is aimed horizontally. Therefore, if you like high water pressure, you will have the water shoot against the back wall and flow onto the floor. Reduce the water pressure and you’ll be okay. I don’t know if this is a common shower head in all the rooms but something to keep in mind.

Well-stocked and reasonably price mini-bar.

We had an interesting view.

Common Area:
The pool area was small pool area but did not use.
The front lobby featured live entertainment by a pianist during Happy Hour.

The hotel is located in one of the side streets of Sukhumvit (Soi 2) like most hotels in this area and offers a good starting oint for people exploring BKK as it is also close to the skytrain. The hotel itself is modern and well maintained. The rooms are clean and of a good size and are value for money. Swimmingpool is a bit small (on the 7th floor) but must be expected in downtownn BKK wghere space is premium.

Room Tip: Go for the Grande deLuxe room

Nice hotel, big room and huge breakfast buffet, we only had 2 nights before leaving Thailand so we didn’t spend much time in the hotel.
Located close to Nana Skytrain station, and with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping options near by.

We styayed in this hotel only one night during our Ásia cruise. The hotel is beautiful, very updated. I cannot say about location since there are three hotel areas in Bangkok and I am not able to compare them. Let's say, without comparing, that location is OK. Since we had to leave early in the morning for the train market, the hotel manager was very kind and we they us served breakfast (and 2 more couples) before opening hours. Internet was fast and free.
