We have been there two times (first time 2 nights, second time 1 night). They have problems by check-in (about ten minutes they were looking for twin room for us). They are looking for a long time and you feel, that they would like to get some money (don´t pay!). When you want to stay 3 hours after checkout by the pool you can only sit there, no pool, if pool 200 THB/person (of course money for reception desk, they have any pricelist). Rooms are old, dark, AC is noisy. It looks more here as in average guesthouse, no as in a hotel.

For the price, the location and amenities /services this hotel is value for money. Its not a 5 star and doesnt pretend to be. Rooms were clean, and it's location is great , so close to the famous Patpong night market, good access to the sky train from here. Happy to recommend.

In a noisy commercial sector of Bangkok (near Lumphini Park), The Rose Hotel is an oasis of peace and quiet. Set back from the main road, the Rose offers the traveller a pleasant and relaxing environment. It is not fancy by any means, but is clean and well maintained and has two great advantages: one is its delightful outdoor swimming pool, and the other is the authentic Thai restaurant, the Ruen Urai, which appears to be part of the same management and is adjacent to the hotel. It offers really good Thai food in an authentic old Thai house that is rich in atmosphere. There is also a small restaurant in the hotel that does passable breakfasts and the like. One general tip: as this is pretty much a tourist area, be aware that you are likely to be approached by hawkers and hustlers if you walk around the local streets.

Stayed here 3 nights, went away and came back to stay again. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Bangkok. For the price, the location and amenities (fantastic pool, restaurant) are unbeatable. BUT, check out the room before you agree to say - some have terrible AC, and you can't open the windows b/c of mosquitoes (no screens). If you get a good room (which we did on our first stop)-- the place is first-rate. Just check the room and AC first.

Room tip: Try to get a pool view and check the AC first.

I stayed here 2 nights.
The location is good. the staff was friendly and the swimming pool is great!
The room was basic. The matrass was hard as concreeet.!!
No view and because there are no laced curtains you have to close your cutains, because of the buiding right in front of you.
No where in the hotel is free wifi, they charge 300 bath for 24 hours.
I will not stay here the next time
