Built to pay tribute to the role of Thai forces during 2nd WW, the monument is located within a traffic circle - the area remains too busy and crowded with the pedestrians, food stalls and the street sellers. It is actually a transportation hub in the area. The monument looks impressive and is a good place to be photographed, have your camera handy for taking a few snapshots!
