The location:
It's in the heart of khaosan road. The moment you step out of the building, all you can see are lights, food, people walking barefoot (a lot of americans do this), street vendors, food vendors, street food, a long stretch of bars, fastfood chains, moneychangers, clothes, slippers, caps, bags, gadgets, cellphone accessories, all being sold on the side of the street. You can haggle too.:) I didn't regret staying at such a loud place. It's so alive at night. Great for partypeople and those who'd love to shop for very affordable things. You can find delicious pad thai here.:) insects to eat are also available. Yuuuck. :))

Service:
They should make it a must to sound and look accommodating and to have smiles on their faces when talking to customers. Customer service is very important u know.

The Inn:
It's quaint. Very busy of course. A loooot of backpackers in this joint. Wifi is available. The room is clean, airconditioned, small, sleepable.:)) well, if you'd like to get a good night's rest, make sure you mention what you want or need during the reservation online. Choose rooms that are not located above the street. There are smoking and non smoking rooms available. There's a cabinet with a safe where you can place your valuables. The comfort room is small. Built for asians of course. We got 2 rooms that time, so we compared bathrooms. Snicker;)) our shower head was defective, so we had to stand real close to the wall to get wet. Hahaha!:)) water was kinda slow too but i still bathed properly. There was also a problem with the shower drain so that was a bummer. My sister didn't have any complaints about their bathroom so it just sucked for me.;) its a great deal for backpackers. We paid a promotional price of P1200 (pesos) per nyt, per room for 2 pax. Sleep was great since we requested a room far from the party street. :)and because we requested a quiet room, we had to go through maze-like halls. :)) it's a decent place. Id book in the same place if id go back to thailand. There's a rooftop where u can see khaosan road below. There's a pool too.:) like I said, I'd stay in the same place if I were to visit Thailand again.:)

The free food:
Our reservation included free breakfast. I shouldn't complain but we ate the same breakfast for 3 days. Choices are: spaghetti, sausage, ham, Sunnyside up eggs, cereals, milk, orange juice, coffee, pineapple juice, sliced bread, butter and jam. It was okay the first 2 days. We also had to cross the street and eat at their othr hotel since their restaurant was under renovation that time.

I must say this hotel really is terrible, even tough i stayed here probably 6-7 times i have been disappointed every time, there is simply only two good things with this hotel, the guests and the location on Khaosan road. The downsides are:

Slow front desk.
Rooms are not clean and the all smell of mole.
High price for being in bangkok.
They cleaned our room only when we told them to.
They charge to play pool.
It is so crazy loud, so you need airplugs or be drunk to be able to sleep.
There is a pool on the roof, BUT it is dirty, really dirty.

To be honest, i only stay here because i enjoy the evenings at Khaosan road, BUT next time it will be worth it to stay at a hotel a couple of blocks away and then take a Tuk tuk to Khaosan.

All in all, one of the worst hotel experiences ever.

Room Tip: All rooms are bad, I have tried them all, standard, family, deluxe, they are all just bad.

Stayed in the triple rooms in D&D!! We got one of the superior rooms which are located at the back of the hotel and are really quiet!!! Nice modern & clean room with lovely bathroom!! Really enjoyed our stay and pool was small but enjoyed it overall!! Perfect location too!!

Room Tip: Cheaper the room the less ya sleep so worth paying a little extra!!

Stolen from my bag whilst I was out, police not interested, and I do not have insurance. The staff also charged me twice for one bottle of Chang - Total cost of two nights stay: 34,400 Baht.

Do not stay here of you want to keep enough money to survive your trip to Thailand. I now have to get an early flight home and miss the full moon party becase the staff here won't help me and I suspect they are the ones responsible for my missing funds. AVOID!!!!!

Got a clean room with a double bed on higher floor in the back with a small balcony. Very quiet in the back. WIFI good, cable with few English channels and good AC. Room service from restaurant across the street where you will also get a free breakfast. Staff friendly and it's right in the middle of KSR with everything you need in the area. They charged me $25 per night on agoda. Look for the big neon sign and walk under it into the shops area to the back to get to the hotel. 7-11 and McDonalds right out the door. Pool, beauty salon and bar on the roof. I intend to stay here again when I go back to Bangkok.

Room Tip: Go high and/or in the back to avoid noise from KSR.

The location is good because it is right on the main strip in the backpacker area. But be warned, the cheapest rooms are very, very noisy, only choose if you are at the party downstairs until about 3 AM. You will not sleep! The rooms are reasonably OK, but basic. Even with the basic rooms you still get a buffet breakfast. The nice touch is the top floor bar with swimming pool, but the pool is quite shallow and not really suitabke for swimming! But the rooms are not worth what they charge, and the rooms exposed to the sound should not be rented out.i would not choose this hotel again.

location is great and right on koh san road if that is where you want to be. has a roof top pool which is a nice touch as well but rooms are average to poor and after having left realised that some cash had gone missing from my bag which i should have locked by seeing it was a private room and not a dorm is very disappointing and left a black mark over the stay
