Just got broken heart there.. Thais pay 750,- Farangs 4000,-
Not all foreigners are rich !! Hope some day this gonna chance. I can understand that street vendors do that , but the new stadium is own by Thai Army, who is supporting this..

Never go back there and I hope that other foreigners also stop accepting this kind kind of behavior.

They are just ruining beautiful sport there.

This was my first time to experience kick boxing and it was entertaining, but for me the atmosphere of the stadium is what made it special. Before each fight, the fighters warm up in the rink to the accompaniment of live music, cheering fans, and lots of hand-gesture betting.
When there is live action in the rink, the live music plays and the betters come alive cheering for their fighter. In between rounds, there is no music, but plenty of betting. After the fights, you can get your picture taken with the winning fighter (free photos taken using your camera). This is part of Thai culture and the fans love it....I don't think I would want to go every night, but it is a great way to spend a night in Bangkok.

If you are a female, expect some stares since this place is predominantly filled with males if you choose not to go for the front seats but to purchase normal tickets. Going past that awkwardness, it is quite interesting to observe the locals betting using hand gestures during the matches.
The location can be a bit hard to find but it is not difficult to find locals who happens to be going towards the boxing stadium from the nearest train station. We approached one and he gladly brought us there.

What I liked about this place were the fights and the atmosphere people create there.
There is nothing I disliked about this place.

Fight nights stagger between this stadium and Ratchadamnoen during the week. I visited on Tuesday night and fights started at 6pm although the first 2 events were not part of the listed 9 events. Weight divisions were between mid 30 kg to mid 55 kg. The atmosphere at Lumpinee was quiet at first but became charged shortly after when the crowd built up. Tickets for tourists are sold at 2000 baht for ring side seating which has waiter service for drinks and food. This is the new Lumpinee stadium which is a fair way of out of the city so costs approx 450 baht each way and required approx 1 hour to get their in non rush hour traffic. Overall a really great chance to witness Muay Thai and although further out I'd put the Lumpinee experience marginally above Ratchadamnoen but both are great depending on the day of the week you want to go
