We have stayed in this place several times. It is good value for the money and price has hardly changed in several years. Rooms on top floors in old section quieter. Beds are hard, but ac and fan work well. Pool, though small is a nice plus in hot Bangkok. Down a short alley way are all kinds of restaurants and street food at bargain prices, and the water taxi, the easiest and best way to get around is a short walk away. From the international airport the taxi ride is long, but that is true for many places in this traffic choked city.

I stayed here for a total of six nights divided over two stays. Both were quite pleasant. Rooms are clean and comfortable considering the price level. Staff in general was friendly. However, I had to wait for the cleaners to finish my room when I checked in at 0700 pm. But weird. Location is perfect, close to nice streets but silent at night.

We walked into this guesthouse with no reservation and immediately got a room. The rooms in the new wing are a few dollars more. Our room was ~$27US in the old wing. AC was broken when we arrived but was immediately fixed. There were clean blankets, bottled water each day, a wardrobe, and a safe.

Biggest pluses are location near the action but not right on it, proximity to river ferries, and the pool. For the money in Bangkok, we may have been able to do slightly better, but not much.

During various trips I stayed here when we were in Bangkok. Clean, standard rooms at a great location. Near river for further ideal ransport in Bangkok and Koa San Road.

During the years it became more and more a big guest house but this did not mean another treatment. Swimmingpool is small but enough for a refreshing dive. And te restaurant at thye ground floor is basic but great food or a good price.

Attractive reception area and pool drew us in, rooms appeared acceptable on initial inspection. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there.

Sodden bath mat on floor in bathroom due to plumbing leak. No dry mat provided to dry my feet after leaving the wet room. Turned air con on to reduce musty humidity caused by leak, to no avail. Opening window had better results (it was drier and cooler out there). Bed was rock hard - dreamt i was sleeping on a massage table in khao san road. Only one electric outlet in room: had to unplug fridge to charge phone or watch tv. Hot water was just above tepid when set on max: having returned from down south, that's cold to me.

Up sides: no insect bites, sheets are clean. The bathroom smelled like bleach, so probably not as much risk of picking up fungus or other nasties from permanently wet floor. And thankfully the window opened when i needed it to. Staff responded quickly to request re mat, albeit ineffectively.

For 840 baht, this is significantly overpriced. Breakfast, wifi and internet not included, 500 baht key deposit.

This is twice the price of other, much better, accommodation I have experienced in Thailand. Here you don't get what you pay for.

Nice guesthouse near Kao San Road.
Rooms are clean. Not too noisy considering the location.
Swimming pool is a great addition to relax after a hot day in Bankok.
Staff are not the most friendly but no surprises.

Our party of four stayed here prior to a trip into Myanmar. This was my first time in a Khao San Road hotel (out of 12 stays in Bangkok) and my last. One of our party signed up for the overprice airport pickup, her plane was late and the taxi left but they charged her anyway. In my room there was not enough water pressure for the toilet to flush and so they moved me but insisted I had to pay for the (slightly) more expensive room. (I guess cheaper rooms don't come with flushes.) We had some other problems and the desk staff responded with smiles and assents but nothing ever got fixed.
The rooms overall were functional but not more. Never again.
