“Big Mall Big Choices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

This was, (not sure if it still is), said to be the biggest mall in all of Southeast Asia (and it really is a biggie).
It's easily accessed by taking the Skytrain (BTS) and getting off at the Siam station. From there it's only a short walk into the complex. Once walking in, it's here one will realize they can buy virtually everything they may be looking for and the center has everything from jewelry, some small pharmacies, electronics to clothes, beauty and health, art and antiques, and of course, a great selection of food to choose whatever one may be craving for.
If at all in question about what you would like to visit, just make a short walk to the concierge desk on the ground floor and they can tell you instantaneously where it is you may need to go.
Also, if one would like to see just what stores exist in this shopping center ahead of one's trip, they may visit the official website at: http://www.centralworld.co.th/en/index.aspx
Then, click on Directory to view the list of stores and eateries.

“Good food and Shopping”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

The Central World department store has many different and good restaurants. it's a great place to do shopping for both locals and tourists. I actually like this place because it has varieties of products that are brand names as well as department stores.. ZEN and Isetan are each side of the building,

“Good shopping and nice selection of restaurants”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

Lots of dining choices, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, American, Steak houses, Hamburgers, desserts.
Big department stores and a variety of smaller boutique type shops. When we visited, they had a performance of Thai Dancers outside, inside they were having a photograph workshop. On previous occassions we have seen a car show with Mini Coopers, Mercedes and BMW

“As Shopping Malls go, this is the best in Bangkok”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

Something for everyone. However, if you are looking for an imported sportscar then you will need to go to Paragon. Other than that, Central World has everything. Prices are the same as the UK for many items and can be more expensive for western branded goods. You can get bargains at end of season sales in various stores. Large choice compared to most western malls and better quality than MBK.
We go here for eating, the cinema, Asia Books and SuperSports.
Difficult to navigate but off the main thoroughfare there are some decent shops where bargains can be had at certain times. A lot depends on what is being discounted at that particular time.
Dining options are plentiful. Mainly up on the 6th & 7th floors and are reasonably priced. You pay standard prices at chain outlets e.g. MK/Fuji, not the enhanced prices you find in Paragon. Cinema viewing options are many. I always recommend visiting friends to try the 1st Class package if available. Going to the cinema here is 10x better than in the West either on price or on service.
At the back of CW is the Centara Grand Hotel. Try the Red Sky bar on the 55th floor. Amazing views and better value than other similar roof top bars in the city.
Outside CW there are often interesting exhibitions on the concourse facing Ratchadamri Rd. At the moment, there is a large photo exhibition at the south end with the rest taken up with Xmas themes and beer bars ahead of the New Year.
CW is always an interesting place to wander around at any time of the year.
