“Non stop partying. ”

A good place to stay when you first arrive at bkk if on a budget. Looky-looky men relentlessely try selling you stuff gets a bit annoying after a short while.

“Better than MBK, but still a tourist trap..”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

First of all, bring water, as it is very hot, there is no breeze or shade, and there is a serious surcharge for drink. If stuck, look behind the stalls as there are seven elevens located sporadically along the street with set prices. If you're looking for a relatively safe place to shop in Bangkok, this is pretty good, but ultra touristy, so not really an authentic Thai market experience. It is definitely set up for the tourists, and by that I mean touristy junky knock off products for sale, booths with food and drink, tuk-tuk drivers trying to lour you in for tours to other locales, and massage parlours galore. Much, MUCH better than MBK mall, both in the product selection, and in the prices. In fact, don't even go to MBK mall, unless you want to look around and/or get totally ripped off. Booth owners are willing to negotiate prices, and given the amount of people selling the exact same thing, just at different booths, they can be pretty reasonable. Your best bet is to walk away if they won't go as low as you want, if they will go lower, they'll call you back. Much better to shop here than in the islands, if you're heading down that way, but the cheapest prices i found were up North in Chiang Mai, so hold off if heading up there. As a side note, I did not get sick from the food stalls here, but it may be hit or miss.

“Be a smart shopper”
Reviewed July 4, 2014 via mobile

Here you can find good food , trinkets ,clothing all things touristy .. The shopkeepers are rude and they don't spend much time in haggling . If you don't buy they might say something disrespectful . So just look around first if you really want to buy anything
, otherwise you can get a better deal at chatuchak weekly market.
