Great way to see Bangkok in a different way. People are helping you every where. Very cheap and lots of fun.

“Cheap and easy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

The Klong is a great way to get around. It's cheap and easy and avoids alllll the traffic. Don't freak out once you get the and don't know which way you need to go - if the destination is to the left of the Klong station then get on a boat that goes left! Always remember to keep your mouth closed when you are on this because the water is filthy. It's used as a drain for the entire city (so who knows what is in it).

“Avoid traffic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

Fabulous way to move around the city. Given how bad traffic is this is not only cheap but fast. Wish only the stops were easier to find and in English. Thai ppl use it and Farangs normally stick to BRT and it is their loss. Crossed from Asok to Chinatown in minutes for 60 cents. Downside is a fair walk on both ends but a must do to see how this city works.

“Travel like a local!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

The Klongs are a great (and cheap) way to get across the city. Example: to go from Thonglor to Centralworld is about 16thb per/person. Then from Centralworld to Koah San Road is about 10thb. It'll get you from one end of the city to the other in next to no time at all.

Not recommended for people who need assistance as you've got to jump over onto the boat. Also, don't wear tight clothing... It probably won't end well :p

All in all, a fun experience and a way to really see Bangkok!

“must do”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

plenty places to get on, Royal palace seems busiest but take care the boats nip inbetween the river taxis and you can end up unbalanced, physically! but the trip around the canals just interesting and a very chilled out afternoon. Guide got the trip( 1hour) for 500 baht 24.12.12
