It seems that all the other hotels on the same road are really posh ones, so this is in a good area at a fraction of the price.
It's a no frills hotel room (I'd compare it to a Travelodge in the UK), but the staff are kind and friendly and my stay here has been easy.
The downside here is breakfast: some nasty cornflakes and some bread that's been shown to a toaster for a moment and some Thai girls who will sneer at you throughout. But you can always skip that and go somewhere else..
It's close to Lumpini Park and the night market, which is great, and also near Lumpini metro.
If you are taking a taxi there though, be aware that no taxi driver seems to know where it is: take a really good map of where it is!

We are Sri Lankans and our whole family stayed all of 7 people.

The rooms and toilets were very clean and the staff was
very helpful we found it to be very homely.

We did not have anything to complain about and hope
to go there this year december 2007.

I have stayed as a resident at the YWCA in Bangkok for over six months and would advise everyone on a budget to opt for this place. It is close to both night markets at lumpini park and the patpong night area. Has a good connection to the subway and skytrain and a busstop right in front. The rooms are clean and confortable, they have television (although no English channels, only TV5 and MTV) and individual showers. The staff is very hepfull and friendly and available 24/7 which is not the case everywhere in Bangkok. A nice and cheap restaurant and canteen right in front and some more expensive restaurants at the sukhothai or Banyan Tree hotel next door.
A good choice for everyone on a budget in Bangkok.
