“Nice zoo although a little rundown.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

My boyfriend and I spent a whole morning here walking around the zoo and checking out all the exhibits. The layout was nice with the large river and lake, and it was especially cool seeing the large fish and water monitor lizards swimming around. Unfortunately a lot of the exhibits were a bit run down (especially the wombat enclosure that was at a secluded place in the park) and I didn't like the fact that they had a seal and elephant show (as I believe it's quite exploitative). Our morning was fine though (despite the profuse amounts of sweating) and it's a cheap way to spend a day.

“The zoo needs a facelift”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

All the animals looked tired. We took the tram ride around the park. We also did the many shows around the zoo. All shows and tram rides cost extra (20-30 baht). We enjoyed the Kenyan dance troupe the most. They were friendly, esp to the schools kids, shaking hands and taking pictures with them. The park is a good way to use up an extra time you might have in Bangkok.

“Nice”

It is a historical place. Like most zoos, in a way they all look alike. Go there not for the zoo but for the park, To fully appreciate it read your lonely planet on the history of the place.
