Overall this zoo seemed run down and the animals were not well taken care of a disappointment in a city the size of BKK.

this zoo is very near to a vimanmek mansion, for those of you who just finished visitting the mansion, can continue to visit this zoo, entrance fee was 100 baht. Travellers with family are recommended to visit this zoo, there are snake museum, where u can find many different kinds of snake.

“Not bad, but could be better.”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Dusit zoo is great way to spend an afternoon in Bangkok and a bargain even at the "foreigner" rate. It's large and open and relatively pleasant to get around. Once you are in though you'll find that the quality of the displays are inconsistent and some of the facilities are really rundown. Nonetheless, the zoo appears to operate well overall and their is a large amount of animals to view. The animals appear to be well taken care of and are often active if the heat isn't to high. It's a decent value but if you are used to Western zoos keep your expectations low.

“Zooper Dooper! Fabulous”

This has got to be the best value for money attraction for kids (and grown ups) in BKK. We spent 5 wonderful hours at the zoo and our 4 kids(aged between 9 and 4) didn't even grumble once about walking around. The animals seemed happy enough and the food/drinks easily accessible and not over priced. The cheap entry 100thb for adults and 50thb for kids meant that we could get souvenirs, snacks, rides etc without worrying about the cost.My kids were soooo happy and that is what counts!

“Nice Zoo. Great value for money”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

i got a taxi from khao san Road to dusit zoo. the taxi asked 100 bath no taxi meter because it was traffic time. he said if i use meter it is just about 40bath. but meter is not possible at traffic time.
air condition bus fare is around 12 bath.

there are several entrances to duzit zoo. i think four entrances.
going around by train is useless, unless you want to go quick to elephant show or seal show some other place. all people are very kind and helpful if you ask something friendly.

Entrance ticket of Dusit zoo for foreigners just 100 bath. entrance for seal show and elephant show is free.

do not forget to see penguins. penguin feeding time is 3.30 pm. they gave us a chance to take a photo with a penguin. i tried to give him money, but he said no.

dont pay for shark tank. errrrr its only a pond with 10 little shark inside it. dont even try it.

try KFC at dusit zoo. much cheaper than other KFC bangkok.
