“A great day out!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

Definitely go see this if you are in Bangkok on the weekend. It is massive and everything you can possibly think of or want is for sale! It will take you an absolute minimum of three hours to go through it, and you could easily while away a day wandering the stalls and trying different food.

“How big can a market get?”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

Loved this market and I think we got lost the minute we stepped into it. But there were maps and found our way out again. There are acres and acres of it. The place is huge and they sell everything from pets and food for them to high class jewellery. bargaining is allowed. Great food and drinks. If we'd had time we would have gone again.

“The perfect shopping experience”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

This is the place to visit if you're looking for a good shopping experience. You can find everything here and the area is huge. There are so many small stands selling a lot of different things. It's a good mixture of fake clothes and handmade items which keeps you from getting bored. The price level is good but don't let that stop you from negotiating the prices. You can reduce the prices pretty much, although it's depending on the mood of the sales person and your skills. There's a lot of places to eat and it's mainly street food you find here. One tip is that there's a very nice playground in the park next to the market. We took two breaks during the day so that our daughter cold play on the playground. You can also purchase some cheap fruit on the street and bring into the park for a relaxing break on the lawn. The market is open on Saturday and Sunday and you can easily spend a day here if you got enough energy.
It's easy to get to the market, just take the sky train to Mo Chit station and the market is more or less down the stairs.

“Plan for the Day, or the Whole Weekend”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

This is a great balance between the overwhelming sidewalk vendors, and the starched clean mega-malls of Bangkok. At Chatuchak you will find everything you might want, but in organized stalls and mini store fronts. As one friend said, "I could plan and buy-for a huge wedding here."

The market is organized by goods, and the prices are all negotiable. There is food to be had as well. This ain't fancy shopping, but it is comprehensive. Clothes for younger, trendier people are particularly on offer, but so are gifts for everyone on your tourist or family list. There is a small antiques section, as well as Thai silver and ceramics. We were particularly taken by the paper products, from flowers to cards to beautiful handmade paper in large sheets.

A person in a wheelchair or on crutches would not find this market accessible. Take the Skytrain to the end of the line, rather than the subway. It is the easiest way to get to/from Chatuchak.

“Waaauw!”
Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

Biggest market i have ever been to. So big it keeps going on and on. You really can find everthing here. Jewellery, clothes, furniture, souvenirs. Really worth seeing. You can spend all day here. Also nice food. A lot of fake clothing Levis, Nudie, Nike but also very pretty traditional handmade stuff.
