Didn't doa riverboat tour, just wandered down from my hostel in Silom. It's a "river" lots of boats & as expected a lot of junk floating around, even saw what I thought was a dead turtle, unsure if a pet thrown in or was unlucky enough to go for a swim & dead from all the junk that's in there!

This river is one of the greatest means of transportation in Bangkok. If you have much time to explore the palace through this river you better use the chao phraya express, it cost THB 40 per way. well, the water is not really clean.

the chao phraya river is the dorsal spine of bangkok, whatever you do you will finish to cross it, use it to go fast from a point to another, or sightseeing from a terrace, a restaurant, or a bar... Inévitable

I only passed Chao Phraya on my way to Wat Arun. The water is not really clean, but the river is big and lots of local catfish which is yummy.

This is a place that you can't miss when you come to Bangkok the First time. Along the River, you can visit 5 stars hotel, wonderful temples and lovely markets. If you come to Thailand and you didn't come to Chao Phraya River means you never come to Thaialand.
