Worth the visit. Traditional Thai house and the house of former American entrepreneur ( a Thailand resident and who had mysteriously disappeared on his trip to Malaysia around late 1960’s).

The government has made his house into a museum depicting historical Buddhist statues and traditional Thai paintings. Entire house is primarily constructed of wood, with a major collection of Southeast Asian art

Learned how silk is made and got to see some really great art. There is a water taxi stop and a BTS stop right near this location so easy to get to.

Jim Thompson’s house is interesting, the tour is mostly about Jim and the history of the house rather than the art of silk making. It was interesting. You have to have a guided tour. The gift shop is lovely but very expensive.

Great tour and very calm and tranquil place. Interesting to see Jim’s house and his talent for design and furnishings. We had some lunch too and that was also good. The prices in the shop however are outrageous!

Interesting tour visit with intreging history. Good for a half day visit. Thai designed preserved home. Beautiful silk shop, however quite pricey.
