A&A Guest House

The room is very clean, confy, nice bed, AC that works well. But it is really small, there is only a glass door separating the bathroom from the room. It's one of the very best values if you are booking online, though. I generally recommend the place, specially if you are not in a super-tight budget.

A&A is near the far end off Rambuttri Road about 10 minutes away from Khao San but it's worth the extra walk. Rambuttri gets fairly busy at night but it's less hectic than Khao San. The street food vendors offer a cheaper alternative for those on a budget.

The rooms at A&A are quieter and slightly better furnished than the Khao San standard with a firm bed, widescreen TV and refrigerator. There are several wifi hotspots for guests to use; if one hotspot signal seems weak, try another one. There's a balcony on the second floor where you can have meals served or just relax. The staff and manager are friendly. The tour desk operator was well-aware about budget airlines the other travel agents had never heard of. This may be my new default budget place to stay in Bangkok.

We got in on Feb 13 at night, he was not welcoming to us. He asked my husband to write down out address in our home country, my husband asked why, he didnt said anything but talk to the guard (sleepy, btw) in Thai and the guard looked up to us and they started laughing...
The second day I called down to informed that the leaner forgot shampoo in my room he commanded me to come down for it like I forgot the shampoo.
The room is small and nice but i would not recommend staying here since you are not treated like a customer. There are of course nicer and friendlier places in town

first impression in the room was not welcoming: a list where it sais how much you have to pay if something in the room is damaged. but the worst was the lady on the frontdesk:very rude, we asked (in a very friendly way!) Different things and she obviously was pissed off!
Room is small but clean. It stinks!
the location isvery central so this is the only reason to stay here. th travel agency next to the guesthouse is totally overpriced!as example you pay 700 baht for surat thani airport-koh samui but we paied only 350 baht per person. (And she tolduswe willneverfind it cheaper-layer)!!!

A&A is just located nearby the main Khao San Road. Around 5mins walking distance. And it is near to the pier to Grand Palace and various Wat attractions. They provided plenty day tour tso floating markets and train market. Remember to bargain even it's not killing price. You may get a better price. The room is quite small but as a guesthouse, it worth the price. It's a distance from Khao San Road and therefore it won't be too noisy in the late night. Overall, we didn't meet any trouble while staying over there.
