There is a wide selection of items, from watches to T Shirts to wallets, to buy, although some of the shop keepers can get grumpy if you not buying anything. BUT be firm and you can get great deals on shirts and handbags especially branded fakes.
All types of food stalls are beside the night stalls, from pizza to street food. You can enjoy more shops as the roads are blocked nowadays. ... which means more shops.

This is probably one of the few night markets in Bangkok. Here is where one can find imitations of luxury brands and souvenirs from Thailand. Cater at least a couple of hours visiting this market an make sure you bargain with the store keepers. One can also find massage parlours that offer foot massage and thai massage along this street. This market closes at around 1am every night.

It seems that I visit this place almost every time I visited Bangkok. It also happen that the hotel I normally stay is close to it. Some people like it but some people do not. It is very individual.

Me and my wife love a lot to walk around the street markets and shopping malls and Bangkok has an infinite offer, although we hate bargaining (in Thailand, we always felt cheated when we buy something!). But one of our worst experience happened near Sala Daeng / Silom Road when a guy approached and convinced us to see a Ping Pong Show, saying that we just need to pay a drink for 100 bahts each. We always heard about these kind of shows so we were curious. When we got to the place (horrible!), we saw one show (with banana) that was so disgusting that we had the beer and went directly to pay. Suddenly, a ugly rude woman told us we had to pay 2800 bahts. We started to argue and she said: "you talk too much, now pay 4800!". We said that wasn't right and turned around but they closed the door! Many people of the staff surrounded us and I just had time and guts to take out 2800 baht from my wallet and threw to her and ask her to open the door. They opened and we ran out! SO EVERYBODY SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL !!! By the way, we ended up without buying anything because they said prices very high and as we started bargaining, they started to be rude and almost everytime they just sent us away (maybe because we always tried to push the prices too low).

Thai shopkeepers & sellers react very strange for any sort of bargaining you talk of.

They get frustrated with the language & their inability to understand English with only few able minded.
