“The best Chinese restaurant in town with valuable price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

Our friend invite me to Try this restaurant. the first thing come to my mine was where is Place, Than ya Park!! i'm not usually go to that road as it's far from my place. however, it's been 5 times already i've visited there.

Don't forget to book the table as well as the crispy pork before you go there.
This is the place where you can have a perfect Chinese food with your friend and family!!
You can order dim sum it's yummy. Other dish as well. Recommend to go with your family and friends..

“Really really nice dimsum in real chinese mess.......”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

Some very good friends invited us to join them at Hong Bao fora sunday dimsum.
Living in bangkok we would normally never ever seek out a restaurant on srinakarin road ( always congested) but since our good friends know and love food we decided to "go for the journey".
We arrived at the sloppy looking Thanya Shopping Park which made us almost not go into further search for the place. Cheap cardbord signage let us to the lift so up we went.
A totally packed restaurant waited for us - lots of great tables with big families. Wow thats what dim sum is all about.
One of our friends who had been there just they day before ordered what sounded like WAY TOO MUCH FOOD for the four of us.
The quality of the food was outstanding - it took us back to the back streets of hong kong. There was not a morsel left of the dim sum........then came the peking duck......that went down easy as well - really really good.
Service was ok and what can one expect on a sunday when the place is full to capacity ( actually over capacity....the owner singaporean/burmese - Mr Lee who has 2 fine luxury restaurants in bangkok also has an italian restaurant just next to Hong Bao in the same dinghy mall. And guess what the overflow of people were served their dimsum in the italian restaurant.....the italian chef looked suicidal)
GO FOR THE FOOD AND FRIENDLY AMBIANCE. BUt go as a small group -enjoy the great food and the total mess.
As the say in guide michelin " worth the detour"
Ps book in advance
