Definitely one of the most interesting bars visited, early 19th century Asian theme. Very knowledgable and friendly bartenders.

Nice mood, nice drinks, nice music. Rather creative drinks, friendly bartenders, surprisingly good food available. Not your typical hotel bar/club, way nicer.

I am a solo female American woman who was spending one night nearby before heading back to the States. Found this "hidden" bar on an internet list which did not mention a dress code and since it is hidden/unnamed, there is nowhere to go online to read about it directly from their business. I was underdressed, wearing sandals and a tee shirt with cropped striped pants. (I get it, hindsight being 20/20.) My problem is this: Tell me I am underdressed at the door. Don't invite me in and then have me sit there at a table for 15 minutes like an A-hole. No one would serve me. When I finally got up and walked around the place and flagged down a server/hostess woman, she said coldly: We have nothing available for you. I was like: "....uh....well, I'd like a drink and there are empty seats ev---" HER: "We have NOTHInG available for you." Total Pretty Woman moment. Which sucks because I had just gotten finished teaching English to orphans for 3 weeks in Khon Kaen and really could have used a craft cocktail.

We were a goup of friends when we visited this place. I personally don't like gloomy dark places like this because the fire escape in Asia are not good. It is dark and gloomy and of course very loud.
There was a show which was too much for me to handle, I was hoping to enjoy the music here not the show or we might be there on the wrong time? I don't know.
It was very mixed crowd but mostly young crowd.
The entrance includes one drink but the prices are expensive anyway!

Although this is one of the most stylish, cool bars in bkk, it’s clear from going for drinks, talking with friends about the place, and reading other reviews, that the management is using various methods to drive customers to the tables, and then trying hard to upsell them while at the table. Clients at all resistant to the upsell will sooner or later lose their table. So instead of the perfect night out which this could be, you will find a lot of people saying they had to play musical chairs, i.e., move from chair to chair, at the request of the staff, with your drinks in tow. In theory, this could drive sales, but in practice, it makes people leave early and spend less. Bangkok is a city in which the bar manager decides on the sales methods, and the staff doesn’t dare point out that a particular policy isn’t working, or that the bars in other major cities do it differently. Why not learn from other establishments in the same category?
