“The best place to stay in Bangkok!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

We'd like to thank Pook and her husband Nuey for being the perfect hosts for our short stay in Bangkok. Location of hotel is perfect, walking distance to sky train and river taxis. Sadly, we only had 2 nights in W Home but Pook looked after us so well. Delicious breakfast (she even sent us with a packed breakfast as we had an early flight) And took us out in her "puk puk" to find dinner in the evening. The room was lovely and clean with air con and tv and warm shower.
Really cannot recommend W Home highly enough!

We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon and it was terrific. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. We got in very late but they waiting for us with tea and ready to tell us all about the city. Our flight back home was late the following night and we were able to leave our bags at the house -- and shower at the end of the day! -- even though we weren't staying over again. The rooms are very nice and well stocked with bottled water, which was a nice treat. It's also a great location, as it's very close to the ferry, which can take you to many sites throughout Bangkok. We look forward to staying there again! -- Ben and Debbie

Unfortunately I could only spend one night there but I will now try to return to the W Home whenever I'm in Bangkok.

The owner's and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will give you a warm welcome. It really feels like being at home. Everything is very stylish and nicely decorated.

I also liked the not so touristic environment which has it's own charme. There's a big shopping mile within minutes of walk as well as a lot of authentic thai restaurants.

Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Bangkok that is excellent value for money, look no further! This is the place for you!

My gf and I just stayed for 5 days in Jan 2014. By the end of the 5 days, I felt sad because we had to leave.

The owners, Pook and her husband, Nui were very friendly, always willing to give helpful advise on where to eat, shop, massages, places to visit, etc! They even shared lots of stories and info about Thailand and even personal stories regarding the hostel.

We got to eat authentic Thai food like pad thai, thai wan tan noodles, we also had a wonderful professional massage recommended by them, at a low price.

Did I mention about the 5 star spec bed , flat screen tv with 100s of channels, amazing shower room, and of course, the wonderful delicious breakfast every day?
Everyday different breakfast, yummy!

All in all, thank you so much Pook and her husband. We will be back soon!

5 stars!!!

Wow... what an excellent B&B!!!
I can just confirm all the comments with 5 stars and now it's a pity I can't give even more.
The day of Xmas, after an exciting city sightseeing tour, together with my wife we went back to W-Home and ... surprise! Pook and Nui organized a Xmas Party for all the guests! We learned how to make a real Thai papaya salad and had a really great time with the other guests. The hospitality of the entire staff is overwhelming.
A five star Hotel with heart!!!

Pook and Nui are so welcoming, it really feel like home, and I can't thank them enough for all of their help. The breakfasts are amazing (and huge!), and there is nothing they won't go out of their way to help with. The beds are by far the most comfortable out of our 3 week trip in Thailand, and the shower was amazing! The location is perfect, close to the river taxi, but away from the crowds. Its a little more residential, so we felt like we got a true taste of Bangkok. There are several street vendors right up the road (ask them to point you toward the pad Thai lady - seriously the best I've ever had, and only 35 baht!). There is a fantastic, yet simple, massage place up the street for 120 baht an hour. The star of W Home though, is Pook and Nui's friendliness and advice. Pook waited up for our late arrival and called us a cab at 4am to catch a flight. We mentioned someone back home wanted fish sauce as a gift, and she brought some back later that day. They made our stay in Bangkok so easy and carefree, I simply cannot say enough good things! Next time we are in Bangkok, I will definitely stay here!

W Home Bangkok is a small guesthouse with only 4 rooms, situated in a residential area 10-15 mins. walking distance from Asiatique, a trendy night market with lots of small shops and eateries. The best part of this guesthouse is its owners, Pook and Nui, who are extremely friendly and helpful and make you feel at home right from the moment you arrive. They opened the place only 6 months ago and are genuinely interested in their guests, make plenty of suggestions on what to see and even have their own tuk tuk (golf kart) to bring you to the main street :-) The two staff members, Toon and Sopee, are nice also and just like the owners always smiling and ensuring guests are happy.

The best rooms must be the ones on the second floor, especially the one with its own ensuite. They are not spacious, but they are very clean and nicely decorated. Free bottled water is provided. At THB 1,590/night incl. breakfast + tax the price seems about right. Breakfast is really good and is one home cooked dish (such as: rice with chicken etc.) and some small dishes on the side (such as: various fruit, typical Thai cakes / deserts etc.). Public facilities to share include: PC with internet access, mini fridge, washing machine, garden.

We stayed at W Home Bangkok for 6 nights and for first time visitors we thought they have done a great job in ensuring we felt welcome to their city. If what you are looking for is a more personal, local experience, yet still being close to the center (the boat stop is 7 mins. walk), then you will not be disappointed. A big THANK YOU to everyone at W Home Bangkok and hope to see you again another time!

Room Tip: The room with private ensuite, or otherwise any of the rooms on second floor.
