Go to the Akihabura area in Tokyo and you will see lots of kawaii/cutey-looking girls dressed up in their interpretation of a French maid's costume, trying to attract customers into the "maid" cafes all around. Now you can see the same thing in Thailand. The first ever branch to be opened outside of Japan is now at Gateway Ekamai. It's fun and lively....but don't expect it to come cheap as everything is charged for. From the moment the girls light your dream candle you are in a land of make believe. Most of the fun comes from being pampered by the girls with no ulterior motive than to make sure you have a good time. We went there for our grandson's first birthday and what a time we had (his picture with the proud Mum & Dad is already on the Maidreamin site). It was fun all the way and the food was great even though it did not come cheap. The "maids" in their frilly petticoat outfits are really cute and all had to be trained for their attitudes in looking after customers and learning their dances. The instructors came over from Japan to ensure the standards were maintained. We occupied the whole of the ground floor and further customers had to go to the upstairs. With all the fun going on inside, lots of folk stopped to look and ask about it with the "maids" doing their best to entice them in. A great day and a great birthday party. Thank you to all the "maids" and the backroom staff as well.
GO AND HAVE FUN.
