“The Restaurant is Getting Better!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

When I first arrived at the Marriott Executive Apartments the District was not open. I was at the grand opening and had 20+ dinners in the place. Overall, a good place to go but expensive. Great staff and good selection of wine. Steaks and seafood are above average. Well worth a try.

“Not bad but way overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

We were a party of four on a Saturday night. We were originally seated near the open plan kitchen but it felt uncomfortable and busy so we asked to move to the back room which was much nicer.
The starters were good but not cheap, the scallops were very meaty but you would expect that for 850 baht.
The steaks were good quality and cooked exactly as we asked, we all had tenderloins and we had one rare, one medium rae, one medium and one medium/well and they were all spot on.
However they all come with no side dishes at all and the sides have to be ordered separately and are really only big enough for one person and come in at 220 baht each.
A strange gimmick was when the waitrerss came around with a box of knives and you choose which one you want to use.
A big positive was the deal they have for tables of 4 where you get a free bottle of wine and it was a good standard.
It was a nice experience and probably what you would expect from a five star hotel but it was nothing out of the ordinary. There are better and cheaper in Bangkok.
Oh yes, and they have joined in with what appears to be Bangkok's latest craze, wandering musicians! The saxophone player walking through the restaurant all night was an interesting touch for the first five minutes but soon lost its novelty value.
TIP:
1) Ask for a table at the back, it's much cosier.
2) Watch out for the water. We were asked if we wanted water and foolishly said yes rather than checking. 4 80 cl bottles later at 240 baht each we learned our lesson!

“Delicious steak, a bit quiet for a Friday night.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

We were staying in the hotel and dinner was part of the package. The meat was excellent and all dishes very well presented. It's a new restaurant and probably quiet as a result. We would come back for a good steak but the prices are high so look out for their introductory offers and set menus.

“Great offer.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

I went to District with friend just to try new thing.

I would say the restaurant itself just great, food variety not much( properly just open ) anyway we ordered 12 pieces of oyster and that was Absolutely nice, fresh and size is huge. They have complimentary bottle of wine that time.. So I would say that's great deal.
