“Best little neighbourhood hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

I eat here like 3 times per week, and it's actually the quintessential venue 'where everybody knows your naaaame (cue Cheers music circa 1980s)'. All the food is delicious and the baguettes are superior to any bread you'll find even at the most expensive bakeries in Thailand. It's perfect for a very inexpensive/delicious group meal, and it's a true family business so you can bring your own wine, etc and chat with owners.
For anyone not living in the area who want to find it, go to the Monterey Place building (all the motorcyclists know it) then start towards the alley on the left. It's not easy to find until you're directly in front of it, but very much worth the effort.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

A friend and I were walking in the area and were lost. We walked by this place which is nicely decorated and is neighboring a poor looking part of town. Despite being an hour passed their designated closing time, the owner happily seated us and could not have been more gracious. The food was great- Vietnamese with a twist. This is a small family run place with delicious and extremely affordable cuisine. It is especially good for foreigners because the owner speaks perfect English. They were also very accomodating and understanding of our vegetarianism. After our wonderful meal, we asked the owner the best way to get back to our hotel. He actually walked a half mile with us just to point out where the train station was located. I've never experienced better hospitality at a restaurant in my life.

I give this establishment my highest reccomendation. In a place where it is difficult to find English speakers, this place makes you feel at home while providing a great taste of Vietnamese cuisine.

“Authentic and Excellent Vietnamese Food - Best in Bangkok”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

Similar to other posters, I have also been searching for authentic Vietnamese food in Bangkok. Many of the Vietnamese restaurants in Bangkok are masquerading as Vietnamese, but are usually Thai-style in their taste and flavors. Who puts garlic oil and sugar into Pho??? That is why my family and I are elated to have found Vietnamese and More. All the dishes that we sampled were outstanding and the flavors were right on. We especially like their Pho, which fans of Vietnamese food can attest, would totally depend on the taste and depth of the broth. This broth was simmered for over 10 hours and bursting with the spice/herbal aroma - inherent of the Pho experience. Other items that we sampled were the spring rolls (fresh and fried), the original banh mi, and the Vietnamese coffee - all authentic and excellent. The banh mi was a stand out because of the gourmet specialty bread that was crispy, light and airy. Service was very amiable and gracious and whole establishment was spotless and clean (another rarity in Bangkok). We cannot say enough to recommend this place and hope that it becomes an institution in this city. Although we admit that the place is hard to find, but that is the case with most diamonds and gems.

“Personal service and excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

We searched high and low for Pho, and finally found the original at Vietnamese and More. Although this restaurant is a bit hard to find, it is worth it--- the service from the two owners and the food were excellent. Would highly recommend!!
