We happened upon this little oasis of peace while cooling off in Central World, Bangkok. We were lucky to be able to get a table straight away and the service was exemplary - complete with little egg-timer to show when the tea was brewed! Staff were very attentive and made us feel really welcome. As a bonus, the waitress brought us additional cakes for no extra cost.

We went to the shop at Central World right in front of Zen Dept Store on the 1st floor. There was a 1-hour waiting list to be seated but they called us when the table was available. The ambience was devine despite being in the middle of a mall! The service was outstanding and flawless. All staff were pleasant and attentive. We ordered the large high tea set and ended up paying around 1000 Baht. This is because the waitress recommended we buy the large set so we would recieve a complimentary box of Blossom Earl Grey tea (20 tea bags). (Sounds like a great deal, however, the Blossom Tea that we took home tasted like mud water!) The savories included macarons, sandwiches, cake, cookies, creme brulee and scones. I think the food was too much for 2 and more appropriate for 4. The scones were on the dry side. Overall extremely pleasant atmosphere, food was okay, pricy but acceptable for Bangkok. Next time will try Whithard and the Oriental Hotel.

This shop is in Central world, 1st floor on Atrium Zone right next to the concierge. Personally I love drinking tea, and my favorite brand is Twinings. This shop provide something else more than just "a cup of tea". Unlike most of coffee shop or tea shops in Bangkok that just give you a cup of tea, Twinings Tea Boutique staff are professional about tea and very helpful, they know what they're doing and they know how to do it right. When you go in they'll give you menu, if you can't design then they can help advising you. The tea set is very unique and special. I usually spend like 30 minutes to an hour or two because I like taking some moment drinking tea and the atmosphere is great. Very unique decoration. Also, the tea Twinings Tea Boutique have food, desserts and bakeries to make you enjoy your time even more.
After all I recommend to visit this place, you'll love it!!

Five ladies met for ones birthday. Perfect place for such an occasion. Think everyone enjoyed their food...eggs Benedict, croque monsieur, chai sea bass, ciabatta salmon, salad. The number of choices of tea was quite daunting. Prior comment said "not many choices", while there were well over 100 choices! We chose three different pots and shared. We shared two desserts, which was plenty. Bill was 4190 baht, which seemed high for lunch but I think that is how it is in bangkok!

Twinings is located in the lobby area of a mall. It is tastefully decorated. With all the commotion around you, the restaraunt feels like an oasis. Staff are extremely polite and professional.
For lunch I opted for the cream of broccolli soup and ceasar salad with foi gras, smoked salmon and grilled shrimp. The soup was creamy with a nice consistancy; not too thick and not too thin. The salad was awsome. There was a nice size slab of foi gras, along with a a good portion of smoked salmon and two grilled shrimp. The salad itself was very fresh and well constructed. Fresh, hot rolls and butter are served with the soup and salad.
I chased it all down with a Himilayin iced tea. Delicious. Hints of mint and fruit swirl in the brown, medium strength liquid. A really nice choice on a hot day.
This is a really nice lunch choice in a hectic city. I found the prices reasonable for the quality of the food and service.
