Five ladies met for ones birthday. Perfect place for such an occasion. Think everyone enjoyed their food...eggs Benedict, croque monsieur, chai sea bass, ciabatta salmon, salad. The number of choices of tea was quite daunting. Prior comment said "not many choices", while there were well over 100 choices! We chose three different pots and shared. We shared two desserts, which was plenty. Bill was 4190 baht, which seemed high for lunch but I think that is how it is in bangkok!

Twinings is located in the lobby area of a mall. It is tastefully decorated. With all the commotion around you, the restaraunt feels like an oasis. Staff are extremely polite and professional.
For lunch I opted for the cream of broccolli soup and ceasar salad with foi gras, smoked salmon and grilled shrimp. The soup was creamy with a nice consistancy; not too thick and not too thin. The salad was awsome. There was a nice size slab of foi gras, along with a a good portion of smoked salmon and two grilled shrimp. The salad itself was very fresh and well constructed. Fresh, hot rolls and butter are served with the soup and salad.
I chased it all down with a Himilayin iced tea. Delicious. Hints of mint and fruit swirl in the brown, medium strength liquid. A really nice choice on a hot day.
This is a really nice lunch choice in a hectic city. I found the prices reasonable for the quality of the food and service.

We ordered a tea set for share which is good, cos the order is including one pot of tea.
If you feel like to try another taste, you can order extra.
We paid around 400 baht for two person which is reasonable.

Had an impromptu afternoon tea here with a friend. Loved the atmosphere and the tea. The collection is not huge, but they brew it right complete with right water temperature, tea pot heater to keep the temperature consistent during brewing time which was timed by an hour glass specific for the different types of teas. I was impressed. The food however was touch and go, sandwiches and scones were on the dry side, their sweets weren't too bad though. The small set is enough for two for a light afternoon nibbly and a cuppa each. The seatings were lovely. It's small so there may be a wait, but I'm glad we did.
