“Overall Nice”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

The location of hotel is very nice. It's just few steps of walk away from Asok sky train station, a large public park, emporium mall and my favorite Terminal 21. There are shops, departmental stores, massage centers and the red light area of soi cowboy nearby. Avg Taxi fares from airport to the hotel is 450 baht.

This was my first stay as I like to try out new hotels while they are crispy and fresh.

F/O staff like all others are well trained and helpful. F&B very good and the Pool is excellent ( Shower missing by the pool) Rooms are nice but very small although convenient and have all the essentials. Free Wi-Fi much appreciated. Only problem is that the hotel is in a wrong part of Sukhumvit Road. It's too far to walk to the 2 nearest sky train stations 15-20 minutes on either side.

During my 5 nights stay, it rained all the time, it was terrible to walk to anywhere as there are nothing worth going to nearby, it's all too down market around the hotel, due to high humidity, the 35 °C and the rain that goes through umbrellas. Heavey Bangkok traffic makes it impossible to take a taxi too. So I am not coming here again unless they put up a covered link to the sky train stations like it's done around other locations. But if you are here just for a night, it's OK I guess.
At night if you are walking to the hotel from the Nana Sky Train Station you will lose your way as there is NO Roof Signage on that side of the huge tower! Hey Holiday Inns: stop being Elcheapos, this is not your style, put up proper signage!

Room Tip: Kings on high floors near the lifts.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in June 2013 with my wife and 7 year old daughter. The hotel was just a few months old when I went there. The hotel is located on Sukhumvit road, the busiest tourist road, and a few minutes walk from BTS Stations Phrom Phong or Asok. The hotel is from the 8th floor to the 29th floor but when we went we were told that it has only opened till the 19th floor.

The rooms are small but I guess its a city centre Bangkok hotel so can't expect big rooms in any hotel. The King Size bed was just about enough for the 3 of us to stay. The rooms are very plush and have all the amenities a hotel should. One additional amenity I noticed was a radio / alarm clock with an iPod dock.

The bathrooms are compact but have a rain shower but no tub. The only drawback I noticed in the bathroom was that the shower area does not have a door so all the water comes splashing out while taking a shower.

Our room was at the back of the hotel so there wasn't much of a view to talk about even though we were on the 18th Floor.

The breakfast buffet is outstanding ! Juices, eggs to order, bacon, pasta, breads, Nutella, Peanut butter, cereals, noodle / soups, tea, coffee and much much more. In fact I was surprised to even see a coke vending machine and an even bigger surprise was an ice-cream vending machine ! Nice touch ! My daughter was thrilled !!!

The swimming pool and gym are on the 8th floor. Pool is large and clean.

Staff was nice and cheerful. The concierge was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Since the hotel is relatively new, the prices I got were good value for money. If they keep this pricing, its a fantastic hotel.

Booked into the hotel as it was near to where I had appointments. Understand that the hotel is only a few months old. Rooms were good and the service was excellent. Not sure if this same standard will continue to be maintained but overall we had little to complain about. The internet service was fast enough and everything worked. It would be good if they had better and more toiletries like cotton tip buds, toothbrush etc.

having spent 4 nights in Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 staying in an relatively small room (deluxe one), I would say there are quite a lot of room for improvements for this hotel to work on. but before telling them, there are still some goods to note.

located in Sukhumvit 22, travelling from Phrom Phong BTS station or Asok BTS station requires only 5-10 minutes of walking time - convenient location! and it started launching since April, 2013 thus it has loads of promotions events like buffet lunch which attracts a lot of non residents to come. the beds are comfy and the whole hotel is made up of black and white. washroom is nicely made with black colour whilst others are usually white. the iphone player with charger were the main source of entertainment for us as the tv program in thai arent that attractive. the hotel also provides a very gooooood buffet breakfast which i enjoyed very much especially when the staff were trying to entertain all my requests like a hot pot of peppermint tea which cant be found in their fruitful buffet booths. it is very surprising their home salad varies too from tomato salad to my favourite, coleslaw salad. i am sure their breakfast caters everyone's needs!

and of course they have some rooms to improve despite all the mentioned goodies~

the room is fairly small and so does the swimming pool!! i guess there are none would like to swim there unless they are confident with their body build as there is no boundaries between the zeta cafe and the pool that would definitely scares those swimmers who need to be shirtless in front of a group of buffet consumers who are in formal dressings. it is the privacy that matters! and the front staff forgot to provide the welcome drink while it is said having in the online booking.

i hope the above comments would help.

I was a little skeptical of staying at a Holiday Inn when I was told by my employer that this was the hotel they had chosen for me. I could not have more surprised and pleased upon checking in! The staff was polite, courteous, and prompt.

Rooms clean, comfortable and quite large. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was extremely quiet. The location is superb right on the train system line and the elevated walkways! What a great hotel

Room Tip: My room overlooked the pool.....it was perfectly quiet and serene.

Stayed here for two nights in May 2013. The room is big with all modern fittings. The ironing board and cold fridge full of drinks (usual mini bar prices) is a welcome bonus after staying in so called four star hotels in Europe which did not include this minor detail. Internet is provided free and the breakfast is a great spread of both Western and Asian cuisine. Staff were impeccably polite and friendly. None of the haughtiness which you get in many European establishments. One minor irritant which the hotel management should be able to fix - the room cleaners put the safety latch across the door to prevent it locking on them, but this creates a racket in the morning as the doors bang against the latch. Very quite during the night though. Oh yes, and great beds to rival the Marriott brand. One other tip, Soi 22 is very close to the Makkasan Airport Rail Terminal - with no traffic it would take a taxi less than 10 minutes, but during the morning rush hour it could take you an hour to get there from the hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms **16 to **18 are close to the service station on each floor.
