Knowing onsen places in Japan, Yunomori onsen in Bangkok comes pretty close to it. Very clean with a good and quiet atmosphere. There are four hot baths between 37 and 43 degrees and two cold ones with around 18 degrees. There is also a dry sauna and a Turkish bath. There are quiet rooms where one can sleep and a restaurant offers some food (did not try). For people who want to escape busy Bangkok, this is a good place to do so. Will be back.

After few days in exploring bkk on foot, I was looking for a place to relax, like a nice spa. What I didn’t expected to find, was an Onsen. I thought that an Onsen can be found only in Japan. But to my nice surprise, Thailand also adopted the Onsen traditions. Yunomori is as close as you may expect Onsen to be outside of Japan. The facility is well organized, well maintained, kept clean, and includes massage and facial services. The Onsen even provides Tuk Tuk service back to the BTS station. Too bad that they don’t have service from the bts to the Onsen. Otherwise it’s highly recommended Onsen in Bangkok.

Very pleasant and friendly staff upon check in. Told the way around and rules which were in line with Japanese standards. The baths were lovely with various types plus sauna and steam rooms. The restaurant was great, had an icy cold Asahi and snacks. Prices were reasonable. Also a good relaxation area where u can sleep and chill out, ideal if killing time for flights etc.. only downside is it is 1.2km walk from nearest bts stop Phrom Pong, was an effort in the heat! But well worth it, guess the location is good in a way to keep the riff raff away that congregate around Sukhumvit. Clientele were well mannered and respectful. Will be back for sure next Bangkok visit.

Everyone had to be naked here!!! At Yunomori Onsen, they also provide thai and Aromatherapy massage, Jacuzzi onsen and spa treatments, visitors may choose from the various packages and selection. Treatments here are priced relatively low as compared to establish spas. Onsen ticket fee is 450 Thai Baht, and visitors can practically stay here 1-2 hour or the whole day to move around to enjoy the different pools in clean environment.

My family and I walked in without any booking on 28 Dec. Despite their tight booking schedule (because of the holiday season), the counter staff went extra mile to arrange for Thai massage for my whole family to let us enjoy a relaxing and refreshing massage and osen which was what we needed after days of walking and shopping in Bangkok. Appreciate their help and flexibility.
