“Room is dark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

Services and everything is good. The only drawback is the room is kinda dark at night, especially the television area and sofa area. Very hard to see things when packing. Adding up few more lamps will be great.

- The room is clean, quiet and modern.
- The view is awesome.
- Overseeing the national stadium, so no buildings block your view of days and nights of Bangkok.
- Huge windows and high ceiling, little sofa by the window makes it very comfy.
- Pool on top with magnificent view of the city! If you don't like to swim, you do have to go check out the view ;)
- Great location, just next to BTS - National stadium,or (if u like walking) couple of blocks to shopping area - MBK, Siam. Very convenient!!!

Location is the best, shopping and food are all within walking distance, the BTS rail is right in front of the hotel. We stayed on the 25th floor, very bad wifi connection, complained to the reception but nothing was done. Was a hassle to travel to the 9th floor lobby and then transit on another elevator to our 25th floor. Actually the same one building houses 2 hotels, the Ibis on the lower floors and the Mercure on the upper floors. Rooms were clean but not very spacious as described wt a comparison wt the Ibis wch is cheaper. Staffs were very friendly from the check-in to the bell desk and the waitresses, everyone was smiling and welcoming. Love the iron and iroing board in the room, but with the coffee machine and they DO NOT provide any coffee capsules for u to make coffee in the room. Why bother showing off the machine? Flat screen TV was goon wt international cable channels. Overall good stay.

Dear jochee,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay with us and I am sorry that there were a few problems during your stay.
We have recently upgraded our wifi equipment, so I am sorry if this let you down and that our staff did not react better. Also I will inform to the Housekeeping team to check why they have not refilled the coffee pods in the room as per our standards.
I am glad that still overall you enjoyed our great location and staff service during your stay and I hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back again.
Kind regards,

My husband and three kids stayed in interconnecting rooms for a few nights on our way to Thailand. It was during the protests but we were very well cared for. Reception struggles a little with English, check in was a little slow and it took a few calls to have the extra bed delivered to the kids room. Overall the rooms were clean and modern with views of the city, the pool area is small but lovely, restaurant has excellent service and great food. Within walking distance to major shopping centres and they were easy to find with a map we picked up. The sky train is practically at the front door and relatively easy to use. Excellent value for money and I would definately stay there again if going back to Bangkok due to the location.

We stayed here on the way back from Europe for 3 nights to do some shopping. Very convenient location to all the main shops and walking distance to BTS train line. Nice, new, clean rooms with nice view of the city as it is on top of the Ibis. Great breakfast. About 40 minutes taxi ride in moderate traffic to new main international airport. Definitely be back again.

This hotel is very convenient for all the shopping centres and markets in Bangkok, Walking distance to the Siam Centre and train. Rooms are clean and located higher in the building. It shares with the IBIS. Unfortunately we were there during the problems regarding elections

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the front. Better view

We chose this hotel because of it's great location and we weren't disappointed, the location is perfect. Mbk and the Siam shopping malls are right next to it.

Breakfast was excellent, gym in the top floor is pretty basic but the view is amazing. Also the pool area in the top floor is really nice.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
