“Well worth the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014

The MOCA is nowhere near the city centre. I travelled from the old city and it cost about 180 Baht for the taxi between three of us. Although this seems like a lot it is definitely worth the trip. This is an amazing building which houses some wonderful pieces which i would probably not see anywhere else. I'm not a massive art fan however i felt this was well worth the 2-3 hours spent here. Photography is allowed in most rooms and i am definitely looking up some of the artists when i get home. Entry is 180 Baht (closed on Monday).

“Great Museum, awkward to get to”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

Art was fantastic, attended July 2014. We got there early and it felt like we were the only ones in the gallery - such a cool experience - some tour groups were entering as we were leaving, so it can get busier.

There was a lot of construction in the area at the time of our visit, so the taxi had to drive through this back way. Thankfully we had a phone with GPS to help us get there, otherwise it would have taken longer.

Space is very open, good flow with a mix of media and varying art forms. A great experience to see modern/contemporary artists - emphasis on SE Asia Artists.

“A must for modern art!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014

I love to walk through MOCA when ever i was in bkk and in Siam Square area. The exhibits and programmes never fail to satisfy my interest and passion in visiting museums. Look out for small creative space on different levels , cause you might find some interesting young artiste works being show case.

THis is one of the most recommendable contemporary art museum i would always visit when i visit bkk. Always full of live and lastest art event and exhibitions from the rigion . Remember to visit the little shops on different levels or sip a cup of good coffee at the 1st level when you need a creative space to read or meet friends.
