You can literary spend the day there. The building is beautiful. The museum have a great range from traditional Thai arts to contemporary modern pieces. I really enjoyed the Richard Green room as well. The blueberry cheesecake was also awesome.

This gallery is a must see for art fans.
The museum building is stunning & the art exhibitions will keep you there for a few hours.
Entrance is only 180 baht, no inflated price for foreigners!
You are also allowed to take photos, which is great - no flash though.
Note that you are not allowed inside if you're carrying a big bag. If you arrive with one they will keep it at the ticket office & give you a plastic bag to carry some things around.
There's a little coffee shop for you to relax your tired legs at afterwards.

An increadible building, modrn concetion, very good lighting, huge spaces, great rooms, efficient staff, showing... crap. There are some excellent Thai artists and it is trange that, except for very few have been retained. A big disapointment when expecting so much from a prestigious name like that.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is a welcome addition to the Bangkok art scene. It has some fantastic pieces in its permanent collection, as well as temporary exhibits. The museum occupies a magnificent new building which is itself a work of art.
To get there, if you don't have a car, take the Skytrain to the Mo Chit station (near the Chatachak Weekend Market) and then take a taxi to the museum. (While the way to the museum is not complex, your taxi driver will probably appreciate a Google map, since he or she may not be familiar with this new attraction. The taxi ride should cost the equivalent of about US $2.00)
