Reasonable access to Expressway, near metro, but not for tourists. I perfer President Palace in Sukhumvit 11.

We stayed in this hotel during our trip to Bangkok (and Pattaya) just few days ago. In general, this hotel is ok for stay. Room size is consider spacious with standard type of amenities. We booked two rooms because it was consider the most efficient way to manage the room (as it was part of the tour package). However if you manage your travel by yourself, and travelling with 2 kids, you may consider to take just one room (double bed type) with extra bed. It will adequately accomodate your need.
We got the new wing room, which the rooms mostly have been renovated particularly the bathroom. Some rooms have the bathtub removed and replaced with more spacious shower area, in which it was our preference (rather than old-style bathtub). Oh, dont expect wi-fi in room. The internet connection is a paid one (and not recommended).
Food were ok, pretty much standard for 4-5 stars hotel. For most guests, you will get your breakfast fulfilled adequately. For vegetarians, you need to check with the check-in staff to ensure your needs are accomodate properly.
Although the location is not really in proximate of shopping malls or tourism destinations, but it is pretty close with MRT station (about 5 mins walk). There is also minimarket (7-eleven store) in nearby so you can get some small stuffs (include bottled drinking waters and some snacks) for your travel needs. There is also a night market about 10 mins walk from the hotel that you can explore and taste some local foods. Dont forget to try the sticky-rice with mango, it was tasty and affordable..
One thing that bother me, is the fact that the staffs' English proficiency was under my expectation, for the 4-5 stars hotel and in the area that have so many (overseas) visitors. I had problem even to ask for spoon..

Well, despite the language barrier, it's good hotel to stay. Particularly if you get affordable room rate.

Room Tip: Pick the new wing (located at the back of the hotel), as the rooms mostly were already renovated. As...

Yup no free Wi Fi, not even in the lobby. You have to pay 120 bth per hour. No carry forward to the next day.
Stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe room, back portion of the hotel. Room and bathroom is big. Essential amenities provided. Appeared to be recently refurbished, so bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast decent with fruit smoothties blended on the spot.
Near to a couple of good eating places. Somboon a Thai seafood restaurant is 5 minutes down the block. There is a 7 Eleven at the corner. For the tired legs and aching body would suggest a visit to Lemon Grass for a clean and good foot reflexology and traditional Thai massage.

Took their deluxe twin room. Nice decorated rooms and comfortable beds. There's a big wall mirror right in front of the toilet bowl ;p that was qute amusing.
Service was execellent and staffs are all very polite. Helped us all the way to our departure. They can speak and understand good english.
There is a swimming pool which I didn't try. Will definitely come back again for Emerald!

Older hotel in a an out of the way location. Walking distance to a couple of stores and the subway station. It is situated on a dark portion of Ratchadapisek in an "entertainment" neighborhood of bard, ktv and massage establishments. Rooms are comfortable but in need of updating.

Nice hotel in Bangkok, rate reasonable but as normal in Thailand Malaysian travellers had to put high deposit.... I don't know why? The rate is only around THB 2300 but deposit is THB 10,000 for 3 nights... Fair enough.... The breakfast just ok... As normal Bangkok is always jamm, cannot really plan for a short visit, takes hours to travel from one place to another....

Room Tip: Ok for business trip with driver provided by host
