“Good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

We stayed here literally for a few hours on 28th December, as we arrived at about 10pm and had a flight at 6am the next day!

On arrival we got an upgrade - which as lovely after traveling for the best part of a day! We arranged an airport transfer from the hotel to pick us up and take us back the next morning - it was a bit difficult to arrange over e-mail but we got their in the end!

We went straight to the room and ordered room service, which was pretty reasonable for a hotel, really quick and really tasty!

Unfortunately we didn't get much chance to see any of the other features of the hotel like pool and gym but the parts of the hotel we did see (reception and room) were lovely and clean.

As we were going to be leaving too early and would miss breakfast as this started at 7am they offered to make a breakfast pack up, which consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich, some fruit and yogurt! We thought this was a really nice touch!

We didn't see much of the area either so unfortnately can't say if there is anything of particular interest happening around, but there did seem to be a few street stalls and food stalls when we got the airport transfer.

Thank you very much Lozzyozzy for your review. I'm very happy that you enjoyed our breakfast box. It's a shame that you did not get a chance to explore our hotel and the area more. Have a great new year and we do hope you return.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before going island hopping in Thailand. It was a welcome oasis in an otherwise busy, dirty and messy neighbourhood.
There isn't much to see in this neighbourhood but the public transport connection to this hotel is excellent, walking distance to Nana or Phloen Cit BTS stations.
The room was large and had all amenities, coffee/tea making facilities, and a sofa/lounge area. Bathroom was big with a large shower. Some of the best shower gel/shampoo and conditioners I have gotten in a hotel also. A plus for the body lotion, they don't seem to include that in all hotels anymore.
Staff was friendly and eager to help. The room service and restaurant was excellent. This hotel also has a rooftop pool which is a nice thing to have in a hot and busy city as Bangkok to wind down after sightseeing all day. There is also a bar at the pool, and the bartender was very good at making drinks although the choice of drinks was a bit limited.
There is also a clean gym with a good choice of free weights and machines if you should feel like excercising.
Only minus was the area the hotel was in and the fact that they initially tried to charge us for borrowing to forks the first night when we bought noodles to eat in the room as the restaurant had already closed.

All the staff and I thank you flafex for your compliments. I am happy that you enjoyed our amenities and that room service and restaurant lived up to your expectations. I'm glad our bartender could quench your thirst and I do apologize that or menu choice is a bit limited. Have a good new year and I do hope that we see you again at the hotel.

Good hotel; however, there are a few issues with service.

Our experience:

Good:
Room, wifi, gym and breakfast, shuttle to the airport (takes 15-20 minutes)

Bad:
It took us over 15 minutes for staff to check us in.

After being in the room for about 30 minutes, another couple had gained access to our room after being told they were staying in the same room as ours. The staff member we informed was unapologetic.

Our bags had not turned up at this point so I used this opportunity to remind them about our bags sitting in the lobby. The staff member assured me they were on the way and had the correct room number despite the mix up. After another 30 minutes our bags had not turned up. I walked down to lobby and was informed the bags had not moved because they did not know which room the bags needed to go to. Staff were unapologetic.

This is an excellent hotel, spacious rooms, good wi-fi, excellent breakfasts, and helpful staff. The rooms are very quiet and extremely well designed. The walk-in price can be halved if you book late on the Best Western web-site, or at any time for a bit more than half through other web-sites. Highly recommended as great value for money! Pool and fitness centre a bit disappointng though, and the location is not the best (unless you want to be near Bumrumgrad Hoispital)

Room Tip: They are all good.

Good hotel, well designed rooms, nice buffet breakfast, close to the Bunrundgrad Hospital, and the start to Sukumvhit. Walking distance to Soi 11' where all the action is at night. the nicest Best Western Hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed at a few around the world.

The Best Western Premier in Bangkok is the first Best Western Premier I've been to. Also when I stayed there, it was my first time in Bangkok. The shuttle that picked us up was comfortable, but it took half an hour to get to the airport. We had had a long flight and we were sleepy and tired. However, the shuttle could fit us in comfortable, since we were seven people. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was okay, it wasn't that great. We only stayed in the hotel for one night and we were satisfied.

Dear Alisha A, thank you for your review. I must apologize that the breakfast did not live up to your expectations. Half and hour to Bangkok International Airport is relatively quick depending on traffic situations in the city. In can take several hours sometimes so you can consider yourself very lucky. I hope you have a great New Year ahead.

We stayed here overnight after a long journey. It was a good and efficient hotel, right from the complimentary airport shuttle pick up till the end of our stay. They were very prompt in their communications, everything was well taken care of.
