While the palace itself is exquisite, the crowds are not. This was the least enjoyable thing I did in my 11 days in Thailand. If you don't mind mob scenes, by all means go. But if you like a little breathing room, there are so many other beautiful temples you can visit.

This definitely a must see in Bangkok! Make sure to arrive early. It opens at 9u30 but at this time there are already many people. Bring enough water because you will spend a lot of time in the open sun. Even when it’s crowded it’s big enough to enjoy it calmly.

Hot and crowded, better to go to Elsewhere. Like sheep, herded through tiny doors. Go to Wat Pho. Say more? I have warned enough, not worth it.

Beautiful palace. They conduct free guided tour. Temple of emerald Buddha is like located in the same compound. A musuem is also there. Place is heavily crowded. A provide a free entry ticket for Thai Mask Dance ( about 30 min) 'Khon' with free transport. I liked the dance . Ticket also include free visit to Arts of the Kingdom Musuem at Ayudhaya with transport. This visit can be made next day.

The palace reminded me palaces in India especially Mysore Palace, though it is a smaller than Mysore Palace. Lot of security and requires a dress code to enter. The entrance Ticket is 500 BAHT each foreign visitor. The area covered by Total Palace complex is 218000 sq mtrs. and is surrounded by four walls.
