Beautiful gardens with stunning bonsai trees all over. Well worth a visit. The palace itself was very interesting although large sections were closed due to the riots taking place at the time that we visited.

A lovely place to visit and is obviously one of the key sites of Bangkok. However, does get very busy and is very hot, there is not much shade. however, it is worth the visit as a 'must see' site

This was my second visit to the Grand Palace complex and I still find it amazing. It is a wonderful example of the history of royalty in Thailand, beautiful temples, statues and colonial buildings. Yes it is busy with tourists, but it is also the top attraction in Bangkok. Allow time and you will get some outstanding photos.

The Grand Palace is a very large site that has many very cool structures and great picture opportunities. It's is truly GRAND in scale. It is also grand in price (500THB - 5 times or more than others in the area). Proceeds from the entrance fee go towards building programs and helping people in Thailand - I was happy to hear this. The fee is much higher, but the grounds are huge.

I would suggest going really early to avoid the bus loads of tourists which can be overwhelming at times.

All in all, a nice way to spend some time, get some great pictures, and learn about Thai history.

I have read some of the reviews and am taken back a little, of course its crowded, its the Grand Palace and the comment about anyone who had money and slaves could do the same, REALLY! It's history that stuff Is all over the world and to clear up things, those people worked on those temples because they love their king, they were not slaves, they still love their king. Go to Rome if you want to see what slaves built. This Palace is a must see, get a private guide and really learn what it is all about
