“Lovely from the Outside”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

We didn't go inside the Grand Palace. It was interesting to look at from outside, and we did a quick tour of the weapons room, but that was it.

You get to it from the temple, so we were tired and didn't feel like touring another place.

“Too much money for nothing”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

It's not bad, but very overpriced! I think we payed 500 baht and ended up not seeing much as most of the things are not open to public and the others are just crowded. And yeah, of couse - no photos almost anywhere. And they have a crazy policy by which I wasn't allowed in with pants just under the knee but was given a skirt shorter than my pants and that was ok?!

“Magnificent”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Such a special complex. You might feel a bit overwhelmed by the intensity of the artwork the colors and the shapes of the structures. Despite the heat and the crowd we enjoyed visiting the palace. Borrow ( free) clothing to cover up at the entrance. Ignore the scam that the palace is closed. it is open daily.

“Elegant but expensive”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

its actually a grand palace but the whole problem is you won't get to know the history of this historical structure as there is not a single word of explanation about the structure in English within the palace. and the entrance fee is quite steep.

“500 baht for that?”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

If you have more money than a budget traveller, you can have a great photo opportunity - outside! No photos inside. And it seemed like a lot of money for not a lot of substance.
