It took well over an hour to get through everything. This was a beautiful place - I took loads of photos as I have never seen anything like it.

We had a fab tour guide as well.

I would highly recommend visiting the palace - just be wary of the people on the street trying to sell you things - they are very pushy indeed and will generally ask for ridiculous prices.

The grand palace is open from 8:30-3:30 and I would definitely recommend going right when it opens, we went later in the day and it was stifling hot and way too crowded. Ladies be warned, you must cover your shoulder and knees but not just with a scarf or sarong on your shoulder, it must be a scarf. If you don't have one you can rent one for free (hideous). Otherwise, it's a great site with lots of glittering palaces and temples.

This was our first attraction we visited in Bangkok and it was just fabulous. Had to be all covered up, legs, arms and even no open toed shoes! Was gorgeous and so impressive, got lots of lovely photographs here
